This is fully mature and still drinking beautifully. Deep, rich dark fruit flavors with just a hint of acidity remaining. We'll drink our last bottle sooner rather than later, and hope it's as good as this one.

Red berry fruit. A little raw oak and some white pepper. Restrained for what I normally think of as a Rosella's Pinot. Not particularly complex, but enough structure that it holds up all the way across the palate. Good with our Cuban pork.
10/7/2017 Cherry and a little cranberry tartness. Tasted that white pepper again. Rocked our osso bucco. Turning out to be a really good food wine.

As superb as the last bottle! A lovely bottle of pinot to come home to after a week of travels. Tired of the limited selection of pinot at fine restaurants in New England.

Ed Kurtzman Dinner (Luciana's, Dana Point, CA): I would have never put this in the 2011 vintage. It's ripe, sweet fruit and even candied. Delicious but not the typical rhubarb, raspberry, tart fruit of the cool vintage.

Ed Kurtzman Comes To Dinner (2015) (Luciana's In Dana Point (South OC)): Ah ha, another 11 vintage wine. This was my WOTN of the 13 we had over the meal. It has the balance, expansive palate, freshness and acidity that makes the 11 vintage so dynamite for me. What Ed got from this vintage was the classis Rosella's citrus, strawberry (like the 05 we had next to it) and a delicious zingy tone. The finish is spicy and long. Dig it.

Notes of dark fruit and anise on the nose. This is powerful with crunchy red fruit and florals. Well structured with juicy acidity and ripe tannins leaving a sweet aftertaste.

Dark wild berry fruit(cherry, blackberry, raspberry) fully ripe and sweet yet med bodied, dry, and carries a good dose of high toned cherry skin acidity and underbrush tannins. Alive and refreshing on the palate...tasty flavors of dusty sandalwood, kirsch liqueur, white pepper spice, little smoky stemmy funk....all clean, polished, well balanced, yet structured for some age. Tasty stuff here...need a few to lay down. +pts

Really loving how this is drinking now. Lots of stuffing in an elegant package from a cooler year. Glad I have a few more in the cellar

Nose has roses, blueberries and pepper. Very smooth entry, followed by black cherries and strawberries. Great acidity with a medium fruity finish.
