This was a solid Cab for the price point. great nose, good depth of flavor, and a true mountain fruit finish with some green notes. A touch flabby in the midpalate, but otherwise solid.

At $16 this is a no-brainier for a daily drinker. I gave it a run through a Vinturi and let it sit in the glass while I prepped and cooked ribeyes for dinner. About an hour later it was still a little tight. Restrained red fruits on the nose and a supple mouthfeel. Shortish finish but nicely dry and pleasant. Great QPR.

This wine shows more restraint on the nose, but I mean that in a good way. I smell red currant, sour cherry, rose petals, tobacco and some roasted coffee, and it’s all mixed together really well. Tangy acid and fine-grained tannins on the palate make this so easy to drink. Lovely mix of currant, sour cherry, roasted plum fruit, and it all tastes fresh and crisp. Secondary flavors of tobacco, sage, black pepper. A hint of bacon fat on the long finish. Very Old World in its approach, must more nuanced and subtle than bombastic. Still has a good five years of aging potential. For the price, a no brainer. A kitchen sink red blend of 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, 6% Zinfandel, 3% Syrah, 3% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec.

The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Medium. It tastes like Black Pepper, Cherry, and Alcohol/Hot, and peat. The body is Medium/Full. The wine finishes Medium. It had a very nice mouth-watering dryness on the finish (probably from the Cabernet Sauvignon).

Very nice and easy going blend. More European in style than California. Tannins do not overshadow. Opens up with very pleasing aromas of a warm blackberry cobbler. Taste brings the sweetness of berries, a little bit brambly. Tannins are interwoven and velvety. There is some smokiness on the nose. Toast or tobacco? Overall a pleasurable wine.
