Popped and poured. This is a medium-red wine with ruby notes throughout and mouth-staining capacity in the glass. On the nose, I get sweet red fruit, some light mocha, and a touch of BBQ. In the mouth, the wine is full, expansive, and fleshy. The darker fruit aspects carry through to a largely sweet finish. Overall, this is heady and a bit four-square. I prefer the non-EBA version of this wine. 89 points.

Deep, smooth Rhone blend with long finish of dark chocolate and charred wood. I wonder if I should have given this more air or bottle time as it didn't really sing for me although the quality was apparent.

Dark red. Bacon fat, minerals, raspberry jam on the nose. Still young and tannic, stones, raspberry and black fruits, decanted and drunk over three hours, still did not really open up.

Incredible nose. I decanted it for an hour and half and when pouring it back into the bottle the nose was just amazing. It opened up even more in the glass. Too bad it wasn't a magnum

Rich garnet. Licorice spice nose with cherry, clove tea, and cedar box. Round and full, with nice weight. Firm with a rustic bloodiness. Not particularly tannic and medium in lenght. Not to quarrel with a talented winemaker, but not particulary feminine nor reminiscent of a CdP to my taste.

Nose of licorice and ripe fruit. Rich, sweet, smooth and delicious. A hedonistic delight for one of those nights when you do not want to overthink things but rather relax and enjoy.

Decanted for 6 hours. Thick, dark juice. This is way too young, but, still fantastic. Big, heavy, complex mouth, with blackberries, chocolate, and a little spice. The tannins are fantastic. Hold for three more years.

Popped and poured one night and finished the second half of the bottle the next night. Aroma is pretty sweet, like blackberry jam. Taste is not quite in that category, though, much more enjoyable. The taste is definitely showing blackberry, but not in a jammy sense. A slight bit of oak on the palate as well, but nothing too much. Extremely smooth.

Tasting the heavyweights in Paso (Westside Paso Robles): 43% Syrah, 26% Mourvedre, 16% Counoise, 15% Grenache. Rich garnet color. Developing aromas of red fruit, root & eastern spice and violet. Balanced and layered ripeness with depth of rich spice and dusty earth. Ultra-polished on the palate with fine tannins and big finish. Give this a few years in bottle. Excellent.

Short decant, then drank over 2 nights. Going strong. Vibrant big red fruit, mouthcoating texture, and a smooth finish. Pure Paso.

Rich and lush, with plum and dried cherry notes - backed with white pepper and mandarin peel. Lovely

Cellared. Too tight, even after several hours of decanting. Extending start/end dates further out.

Wow, this is really showing nicely at age 6.5. Beautiful bright aromatics with the alcohol starting to be integrated.

Closed down substantially after 1.5 hrs in decanter. Saved half a bottle for night two... we'll see how that goes tonight. A waste to open now.

Oh yes, this is good! Barely getting into its stride, this has many years left in it, and it's so beautifully balanced, smooth and intense now.

Just to be fair, this was tasted after 1996 GAja Spers and 2000 janasse CDP. It was clearly inferiorly made, and was difficult to drink in comparison.

Nose was phenomenal but palate was a little hollow. I'll assume this needs more time in the bottle as it opened a bit during the hour it was uncorked.
