Consumed over 3 days (pumped). Continually improved and was quite good on Day 3. Started quite muted with slight bitter and slight green notes on a medium finish. Day 2 was starting to open, drinking very smoothly with less of the bitter or green notes, but still not showing the depth or richness normally exhibited by the Pas de Nom bottling. Day 3 had all the expected cherry and darker berry aromatics and flavors, continued to have a very smooth mouthfeel, good acidity, still not a long finish, but the length that was there was due to the richness and smoothness of the fruit along with the acidity. Hard for my experience level to judge the longevity of this wine. I am quite sure it will not improve, but in a year or three will it show the Day 3 qualities on day 1? I dont't know. My recommendation would be to open now and take the intellectual journey over three days!

Medium ruby in color, modest aromas of cedar forest with some faint dark fruit. Flavors of sour black cherry, cola, and a little dried dark fruit and blackberry. Medium bodied with nice soft tannins and balanced acidity. This wine is deliciou now, but still got the stuff for 3-4 more years.

Medium garnet color, with aromas of strawberry, quickly followed by wet evergreen forest and white pepper. Medium bodied with flavors of strawberry and black cherry cola. Nice bright acidity brings it all together with a medium long cranberry tart finish. Very nice wine with good balance, perfect now, having said that, the PQR on this wine was marginal.

I am at a complete loss to explain how this vibrant, well-crafted wine could have shown itself as a tired, turgid mess after 45 minutes of aeration. A tremendous disappointment for a much-hyped wine from a quality producer, one hopes it was just a bad (very bad) bottle.

Ripe strawberry, black cherry, cola, spice, a touch of vanilla. This has got great mouth feel, velvety tannins... I often feel that PDN's are over extracted from warmer vintages, but in cooler years they can be so good. Great balance, enough acid now but I would question longevity at a pH of 3.8. Drinking very well now!

A very smooth but unspectacular 2010 OPN. Like others, it smells like dark fruit and black tea, but has a hint of orange peel. In the mouth, you get a little more cherry and spice. Moderate tannins still, but not a lot of acid. It's a little soft on the finish and makes me think this is at its peak. Have cellared PDN's since 2010, and the smooth style makes me wonder how they'll age past 8 years. Will report back after opening a 2011.

This wine is very good, but at $100 a bottle it should be. Not blown away, but thankfully not disappointed either. Probably drinking as good as it ever will right now.

Opened up with a group of friends for dinner - enjoyed it with one of our favorite dishes with a good pinot: blackened sockeye salmon. Very smooth - everyone loved the combination.

Decanted 1 hour. I was mildly disappointed considering the price.

Very elegant more earthly structure than fruit or flowers. Tight initially but opening nicely.

Absolutely wonderful. So rich, smooth, elegant and classic Oregon pinot. Took a bottle to a restaurant for our anniversary dinner and were delighted.
