In this wine, the acidity and coolness of Anderson Valley triumphs over passive cellaring and a hot-hot vintage. Quite enjoyable, it sports tertiary notes of earth, tea, leather and dried fruits.

Long past it’s prime, although storage was not perfect. Heavy, syrupy, some spice, funk, 14.5% alcohol. Not enjoyable. Poured out the bottle. Greg’s buy

A medium ruby colour, nice pinot nose. This ten year old wine is surprisingly fresh and had, for me, no signs of being past its peak (though my cellar is fairly cold for much of the year, which may be a factor). Not a typical pinot flavour profile - bright flavours of sweet black cherry/raspberry are overlaid with the baking spice noted by others and, for me, a hint of vanilla. Probably better on its own than with food. Very nice.

Fall forest floor and underbrush aromas with dark, brooding deep color this Anderson Valley Pinot Noir is still rich and luscious. Fleshy, ripe and juicy black plums are prominent with an enticing blackcherry flare not far behind. Maintaining sturdy framework and balance with a touch of sweetness, this plush red surges forward to a dazzling finish flashing wild berry and baking spice. Past peak from a year or so ago, this is still enjoyable on it's own or even as an after dinner sipper. Drink now

Homemade raspberry pie, stewed plum and decadent blackcherry glide across the palate on this concentrated Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. Robust fruit tastes are all held in check with fine acidity and lively, firm tannins. Pretty notes of wild berry, forest and cinnamon dot the midsection. A well detailed aftertaste that echos all of the flavors reveiled in this rich red wine. A few nights later, defined tastes of dates and plump prunes were introduced. Drink now while the sturdy frame still exisits to hold together the dense, jammy fruit.

Plush, rich and and voluptuous, this Goldeneye is sensational and hitting on all cylinders at this stage. A chorus of deep, luscious raspberry jam, bing cherry, pomegranite and smoky forest floor. This Pinot Noir offers concentrated, chisled flavors but also demonstrates finesse and subtlety. Luxurious mid palate that leads into a prolific, highly defined, persistant spiced oak finish. Surprisingly still full-bodied for a wine it's age. Drink now through 2013.

Colour showing definite signs of bricking. Class light Pinot colour. Nose of cherry, strawberry, cola, earth, touch of smoke. Classic Pinot nose, lovely aromatics. On the palate, surprisingly full bodied (14.5%!!!!) Very ripe tannin, Low acid, perhaps a bit too low. Very ripe cherry, lots of cola, tea on the palate. Incredibly long finish.. minutes... fruit, cola, and alcohol. This a very big, ripe wine. A bit too big, not elegant. Needs more acidity.. I wouldn't wait any longer to drink this one.

This was was amazing. Very earthy. Rich and fully flushed. A nice long well rounded finish. Lots of nice lush fruit. Drinking beautifully and will be fine now for the next 3-5 years. I have to give this 94 as the general consensus amount 14 winos was outstanding! Honestly, this wine is much better than 92 in my book and I was tempted to give it higher. If you are holding this wine, drink it now cause it's hit it right on. This said, I do still think it will be around a couple more years, no problem.

Stupid good. Decanted for about 30 minutes (I couldn't hold out any longer). Smooth with just a wee bit of a bite to it. Strong brown sugar smell and dark cherry taste.

Decanted 1hr, red fruits, smoke and earth in the some with enough earth to balance the fruit on the palate, somewhat short finish, with not much complexity. Did not detect any fake candy fruit that many California pinots often have.

Nice nice bottle. Opened for 1/2 hour and decanted in bottle before serving. Imbibed over the next 2.5 hours. Complex aromas of cedar, toasty oak, tar, sandalwood. Smooth smooth middle and finish, with subdued yet complex dark fruit flavors. Smoke, plum, blackberry, chocolate, some pepper on the finish. Really nice. Paired with Cornish Hens, bacon wrapped asparagus, roasted root vegetables. This should drink well for another 3-4 years.

Opened for one hour prior to drinking. No decanting. Color was thin in appearance and was expecting similar nose and taste, but was very impressed with this wine. Just kept getting better and better over three hours. Cocoa, cinnamon, cherry on the nose and excited the sides of the palate with very long nice finish.

This is ripe and luscious Pinot Noir. The color is a medium garnet. The nose wafts scents of blackberries, raspberries and dark cherries with an oriental spice almost incense like. The taste is filled with flavors of spicy berries and plums and dark cherries. It is a mouthfilling taste. This is a good one that will age well over the next three years.

Light strawberries and Rasberries. The sweetness of ripened fruit. This is very soft, with light tannins and acid. Without question a good wine, but rather simple. I don't see the $50 price tag really worth it. High 80's.
