Disappointing, especially for a $50 pinot. I'd be unhappy paying $30 for this. Maybe it is going through a funky period, but this is definitely on the sour side. Not much depth or complexity to be had. Reviewed after opened nearly 1 hour. I will say that some sharp cheddar improved my review. Definitely a food wine.

PNP at a restaurant. This took quite a while in the glass to open. Bright cherry, plum. The fruit balanced out over time, leaving a pleasing if not complex taste. I think this may need more time in the bottle. If not, a 30-minute decant is probably warranted.

- Aromas of rose and raspberry. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of mushroom with a light/medium body. Bright texture with a medium finish - Consumed at the Ahwahnee. Well matched with ricotta gnudi. The nose on the Bella Vida is intoxicating, but it is a little disjointed. Very young..

Immediately after open it smells fruity and lush but flavor is a little heavy on tannins. After some air time, maybe half hour or so, the flavor smooths out nicely with good balance of fruit and very nice mineral. Slight bit of spice in aftertaste. Overall very silky and lush in the mouth with nice lingering aftertaste. Drinks well now but expect it to improve over next year or two. Updating now after the bottle has been open for over an hour and it is even better. Will be getting more of this one.

2 Days in the Valley- Day 1 (Willamette Valley, OR): Nose: There is a real savory quality to the nose with along with tones of plums, dark red cherries, earth tones, dark florals, spices, and a slight bit of meaty tones as well. Very good depth with a nice darker take on the nose.
Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium+ acidity that is fairly tart. There are nice tannins as well as savory tones of dark red cherries, spice tones, dark florals, and some bits of earth on the back end.
Overall: This needs some time to fully show itself, but this is a real classy wine. There's very good depth on both the nose and palate as well.

Deep in color and fruit compared to many Oregonian Pinot's. Very drinkable at this time
