This wine could fool a lot of people as it has the body, oak and roundness of a Napa Chardonnay. Light straw in color with appricot being prominent on the nose. It still has the Chenin Balnc brightness with a great roundness and a mince lingering finish.
Don't drink too cold. Let it come up 10-15 degrees and the flavors expose themselves. I have one more bottle of this and am excited about drinking that one too!

Way better than expected. Great balance and a ton of minerality on the backend. Glad I have a couple more and look forward to seeing further development on these bottles.

The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon, passion fruit and passion fruit. It tastes like passion fruit. The body is light. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Tasted this at a wine dinner at Sullivan's in Naperville. I love Chenin Blancs but have usually avoided US produced CB's in favor of South African. This one rivals some of the best South African CBs that I have had. So perhaps I start considering domestic CBs now? Will be looking for other recommendations if anyone out there may have some. Thanks. Also, sorry for not putting in characteristics but I am doing this a week later and have forgotten the specifics and did not make notes.

Nice nose of tropical fruit, lemon, vanilla, and honeysuckle. Plenty of acid, but weak on the palate. Tropical fruits and plenty of acid, just off dry, but a bit simple. Finish short.

Very nice food friendly wine (bacon wrapped seared scallops). The wife isn't much of a white wine drinker and wanted to buy more. Too bad it's only available at the winery

Loved it! Still great! Soft, interesting, still with some acidity; tropical fruit, some minerality with touch of sweetness.

nothing special ... i should have saved for a picnic rather than with rice-bowl dinner ... it's too crisp (but not stainless aftertaste) ...

consistent with notes of 10/25/2012 - adding a touch of pineapple to the list of fruit I detected.

A dry chenin blanc, aroma of apple and citrus. Tastes of quince, green apple skin, mineral, and finishes with lemon.
