a heavy, fatty, smokey nose, which could easily lead you to the rhone in a blind tasting (i'm an expert in this); and a big bumbling, weighty mouth, young in feel but with some orange peely age. interesting, fun
Classic Rousseau nose very ethereal but looking a little tired. Secondary characters starting to dominate (Prematurely developed?). Mushrooms and earth with a hint of youthful dry red fruits. The palate is good but not great, seems to lack a little concentration. A slight (rare!) disappointment from this producer. A nice wine but not one of the better Ruchottes and certainly not one to keep any longer.
