Chenin Blanc is an underrated grape. Very dry, wet limestone, assertive and lingering on the palate. No oak. Some ageability. Paired well with pacific wild salmon. 90

(out of 375ml) Ripe red capsicum, greengage plum, tobacco smoke, earth, old oak and a touch of sulfur. On the palate, rich and layered mouthfeel, tobacco smoke echos - great satin texture - very ripe but has plenty of definition. Excellent wine.

Poached apple/pear, a touch of an almost cheese edge, a hint of the wet wool character, pulverised rock, not oxidative; some r.s. and good acidity, roundness that's kept in check, just great balance, good length.

LCBO tasting bar sample. Lush nose centered on honey, wet wool, and mixed florals. Fairly fresh given the oxidative reputation of this region. Palate feels relatively dry with a fair bit of bitterness and sour acids. Just slightly off dry.

Mid Lemon gold; Delicate mineral notes alongside honeycomb and white flowers, lovely freshness and purity; full and concentrated flavour, lovely density but retains good mineral cut, freshness and acidity. A lovely Savennieres, young right now but with potential to age in the medium term. Honeyed finish.

Incredible freshness and length. Great vitality. The wine transfers in the glass in time. Great price-value ratio.
