Visit to William Fèvre in Chablis (Chablis): Nose: mineral with a clearly stony note, green apple, a hint of flowery notes, quite elegant Palate: stony mineral, some apple and citrus, high acidity, good concentration, aftertaste with citrus and mineral. Summary: more minerality than the 2011 Vaillons. Rather young, 90(+) p
Decanted for just under an hour before tasting. Light straw colour. On the nose; saline and mineral-laden with further hints of citrus fruits, green apples, white flowers and the faintest touch of oak. On the palate; focused and balanced, relatively forward fruit backed up by loads of refreshing minerality and zappy acidity. Very enjoyable – has a sort of understated feel to it while at the same packing plenty of punch. Perfectly drinkable now, but will obviously keep for quite some time.
France 2013 - Chablis (Chablis): Tasted at the Domaine. Again a shyer nose but with some swirling notes of lime and green apple. Green apple and fresh citrus on the palate with nice minerality and a chalky finish. Excellent acidity here. Delicate and fresh. Drink or hold. Excellent. 90+
