  • I have been a fan of Schug Pinot as long as I have been a wine lover. This is a really good Pinot. The flavors and aromas they successfully exhibit are pure Pinot, practically without the influence of oak. There is a controlled, rustic, spicy flavor that comes purely from the skis with minimal manipulation. Close to full bodied. Deep purple color. Barnyard and mushroom meets blue fruit nose. Mildly spicy with cinnamon and cardamon. Blue fruit with mildly acidic finish.

  • This is pretty much a block and tackle Pinot. Good depth of color, nice Pinot nose with spice and red fruit, not much oak accent. Great balance, full body, long pinot vartietal linger. Solid and enjoyable but not too inspiring or greatly complex, a solid B+. The price is right and it is a value.
