  • We opened this for lunch and each had a glass. A little rustic? Rough around the edges? So, it went in the fridge.

Five days later (oops), I pull it out and think I've got some more juice for my vinegar jar. Nope. This had fleshed out, integrated and rally tasted like a baby CdP. Notes of tar and violets among dark red fruit, this was really very good.

Hold or serve with a good decant. Or let sit in the fridge a few days!

  • Purple with garnet edges and medium viscosity in the glass. Brett, roasted dark fruit and pepper on the nose. Secondary saddle hide and tobacco. Medium body with present dark fruit, pepper, mushroom, BBQ, and tobacco on the palate. Structured, but with chewy textures. Medium finish. Inline with the Beaujolais and Vacqueyras I've tasted lately, but this Hug shows higher quality and better hand.
