It still has quite a bit of life left in it and held up beautifully with turkey breast. Interesting how this varietal stands up much better than pinot noir with larger food dishes. Would definitely buy again.

Thought this vintage might be on its way out, but this pinot meunier is still drinking extremely well. California-style fruit still very strong here, and would suggest another couple years easily within reach. The community end-date (2015) is nowhere close to being right. Submitting 2020.

Gentle with wonderful balance that I may be underrating (on my own scale) at 90 because we enjoyed this at New year's Eve with some pleasant distractions. With drinking again definitely.

Perhaps a little past its prime, but still quite good. Don't think we've had pinot meunier from any other winemaker. This is one of Chandon's main stills that they otherwise use in their sparkling wines.

Glass from the LGA airport and I somewhat question if they got the wine right since this is really much worse than what I would have expected. It's got this almost sweet tarts taste (that chalky, kindof sugary version) on the front palette. The food muted it a bit (some bad airport food), but not enough. Remember liking an earlier vintage of this so hoping it was just a bad airport bottle.

Light to medium color. Nose of leather, oak, spices and strawberries. Excellence balance and length. Always a great pick...especially at $19 on clearance :)

What a disappointment. This wine used to be a staple of mine. This is out of balance, harsh with a mild rubber nose. They say 13.5% alcohol. That's an untruth. Probably closer to 15%. Tragic. There must be a back story to the decrease in quality. I would love to know if you you do. The only redemption for me was when I had it with some dark chocolate and it tasted like a chocolate covered cherry.

Domaine Chandon 2011 Pinot Meunier (SRP $23): This wine is bright, supple, and harmonious with fresh red fruit and plum flavors alongside violets and pronounced spice. It is food-flexible and a great choice to open and share with friends at your next backyard cookout. Overall, an enjoyable and easy-drinking single-varietal bottling of a Champagne grape variety that I typically don’t find vinified as a still wine on its own. Region: Carneros, California. (Other info: ABV 13.5%, cork enclosure).
Tried from a bottle that had been opened a few days. I wasn't sure what to expect. It's a light red wine. Refreshing, bright flavor. Found it to be quite delicious. Wish I would have scored some bottles while I had the chance. Recommend. Enjoy!

Expansive aromas of lavender, plum, and red cherry escape from the glass of this medium-ruby colored wine with hints of nutmeg and minerality playing a supporting role.

beautiful color; classic nose; well balanced in mouth, bright fruit - mostly red cherry, nice mineral sense, bacon, moderate tannins - really like this wine; it's only likely to get better for a couple of years

Lighter and glassier than pinot noir. The legs are fast. Nose like my mom's canned plumbs. No earth or funkiness. Very thin-bodied like Beaujolais, but a more fruit-based flavor that is better than Beaujolais in my opinion. Like a thinned-out pinot noir that w/out enough extraction, but still VG. Would drink now.
I like this wine as it is refreshing and rather simple. Not one for high expectations or great finish, it reminds me of a good cru Beaujolais without the gamay funk. Good red fruits up front, nicely balanced, great first red of the evening. Price point is on the high side.

Time to drink. Nose good after about an hour. A little thin and acidic.

Tasty light red. I was disappointed compared to previous vintages. Lacking the distinct white pepper I've found previously.

The wine looks Rosy colored. The legs are Fast. A fun light red wine would be good for people that are not into heavy red.
