Popped-and-poured, then enjoyed over an evening. Started out slightly musty, but this freshened up nicely, and got richer. Black plum and cassis with good+ weight.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (R&D's): Opens with a nice bouquet of florals, black fruit and meat. Thin on the palate however, and very plain with generic black fruit and a short finish. Guessed domestic Syrah.

Most of the tannins have dropped out, leaving a fair amount of fruit. Rather lean and not highly extracted. Had it with the Thanksgiving dinner and it was an excellent match.

Still youthfully purple. Classic cab aromas of cigar box, and sweet plums. Pure cabernet fruit all over the palate. Silky and long. A touch of well-integrated oaky vanilla. Drinking nicely right now. However, I don't get anything terrior specific. Just nice napa fruit. At $100 direct from the list almost 10 years ago this is a dud. I'd be a buyer at about $30.

really nice fruit on this wine but it could cover the lack of complexity or structure- in fact the heat spiked through too more than would have liked- can not recall the last 02 Napa Cab I have had but seem to remember many past ones falling into line with this one in terms of structure and finish. I believe we purchased this at the winery.

Consumed at The Waterboy with a '94 Beringer PR... Nice ripe nose with soft, smooth mouthfeel. Plenty of fruit, but not very complex. Nice wine, but not inexpensive. Tasting along the Beringer was not a fair comparison.

Brilliant dark ruby color. Black cherry nose with a little smoke. Sweet blackberry and black cherry with nice chewy mouth feel and nice tannins. Long finish with a hint of spice and caramel. A very nice wine but agree with prior notes that one can do better at this price point. Drank side by side with 98 Pine Ridge Howell Mtn Cab with friends. Both were very nice but the Andrus was much more subtle and refined.

The 2001 Andrus Reserve is a good Cabernet, but lacks depth or complexity that I would expect at the price point. Nose and palate dominated by currants, cherries, and licorice with a medium finish. Although a little hot on the palate at this stage, the wine was in mostly well balanced. I prefer their Oakville offering.

Still in decent shape, showing some age but has fruit left with some tannin.

Still a good amount of dark, honeyed fruit, quite mellow.

No notes taken, but this paired well with New York Strip. There's nice fruit but a touch too much oak for my palate.

Decanter two plus hours. Very, very smooth tannins. It is a great blend that works across nearly all palates. And with the BGE grilled filet.

No notes taken. Consistent with previous notes, but more roasted fruit than I remember. Desiree liked it a lot more than I did.

Dark ruby color with blackberry and black cherry notes. Smooth but lacking complexity. Overall, a nice bottle of wine but expensive.
