Classic The wine looks straw colored. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon. It tastes like lemon and melon. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

We chilled this well and sipped throughout the evening and with our meal---turkey, asparagus and spinach salad. The aroma definitely was citrus and straw. It was refreshing with red grapefruit and maybe tart apple. The acid content helped to extend the flavors to a long finish. Our last two bottles. Great QPR

From 75cl screwcap. Sorry, I can't join the chorus of adulation. Yes, it smells of gooseberry. Yes, it is kind of medium-dry and furry on the tongue (but so is gooseberry jam). Some residual sulphur as other TNs have noted. Otherwise grapefruit, lime and more gooseberry. No, I definitely prefer the more restrained Greywacke/Cloudy Bay style. At this price point (15 EUR) I'd definitely rather be drinking a good product from the Loire. 85-86P

Clear medium straw yellow colour with aromatic nose of gooseberry and exotic citrus notes, not youthful but not old just developing well. Dry medium full smooth and flavourful on the palate with gooseberry, guava and lime and a finish of 4to 5 seconds which was delightful. Overall well developed lovely mouth feel and zingy flavours.

Not exactly delicate, but expresses "typicity"...is that a nice way to say it? Full throttle NZ SB and that's fine with me. Bit more grass and veg, and very tart acidity. Did well with the risotto and veggies served against. A good value in the $15 range.

First impression, a youthful looking pale lemon wine enticing you with petillance. Clean, refreshing and distinctive aroma of gooseberries, grapefruits, lemons, grass and sweet spices. In the mouth, it doesn't surprise loaded with fruits matching the scent. Medium-long finish with ending with a seductive sweet-spicy note. All-in-all, a not-so-subtle wine which reminds me how varied Sauv blancs can be. Very impt to drink cold or else it would taste flat. Good value for 30+ SGD price point.

Blind at home: Very aromatic, Pungent, nail polish-gas aspect, underripe grapefruit, grass, gooseberry, tart lemon; crisp, high acidity, bright with a little clean wet stone.
Pale straw color. Intense nose of grapefruit, lime, gooseberry and a touch of green grass. Mostly citrus flavors on the palate with more grapefruit and some minerality. Zippy acid on the palate with a very clean and crisp mouthfeel. Good with food but needs the right foods to shine. This is very good NZ Sauvignon Blanc for the money.

Very nice, we've had better examples for sure, but this did the trick as we hadn't had a NZ SB in a while - Pale straw, medium/full bodied with a nose of fresh grass, lime, gooseberry and fresh grapefruit, excellent acidity as you would expect, decent balance and freshness, sour, tart on the palate with very good length, nice! (88 Points).

First NV Sauvignon Blanc I have enjoyed in about 2 years but not very typical in the sense its profile is much juicier and tropical than ordinary grassy NV SB profile. Nose has some mango, pear, pineapple and some subtle citrus note medium body with better acidity that what one might expect and a decent finish

Very pale straw color, nice shimmer and average legs. Typical grapefruit, tomcat spray, and mowed lawn aromas but I also get a very slight Riesling-like note of diesel, which adds some interest imb. Medium body, medium-high acidity, light sweetness and umami. Smooth finish that holds the vibrancy of the palate to the very end. A fine example of NZSB. 4+11+16+8 = 89

Jalepeno, canned peas, gooseberry, leafy green pepper; great mouthfeel, excellent balance with bright tropical fruit flavors; viscous, silky, voluptuous and intense in the mouth; crunchy lemon-mineral aspcet in the end with a long tingly finish. This is the same as WE score but I agree with their assessment. Nose had tons of citrus bursting from the glass, along with apricot and a hint of petrol. The petrol eventually receded as the wine warmed in the glass. For me, probably the most outspoken nose I've ever had on a sauv blanc. On the palate, very clean, sake-like. Great QPR at $16.

Dog Point is one of those Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs that are a Cloudy Bay heir apparent. I have (like many people) lost touch with Cloudy Bay the last few years as the prices have been going up and up with quality being compromised - and as such quality wines such as Dog Point have been getting the focus that they deserve, and it is in fact no surprise that personnel at Dog Point have a Cloudy Bay background. The wine itself is quality - the first thing you appreciate is it's fantastic bouquet - nothing I really have experienced before - it could almost be a fine ladies cologne with a strong freshly mown meadow tone - certainly it made me wish I was on a picnic on a glorious mountainside. The colour is straw slightly citrus and with a finish that is completely complimentary to the grassy approach - with a hint of lime and lemongrass but not overpoweringly fruit - very well balanced and at 12 pounds a bottle - significantly cheaper than Cloudy Bay.

Pale yellow color. Nose of grapefruit and grass. Entry on the palate is grapefruit and grassy, every bit the prototypical NZ SB. On the mid palate, there is lots of citrus, lemon peel and grapefruit. I would put this in the same category with Kim Crawford and Cloudy Bay; not bad company. But given those comparisons, price becomes a deciding factor. With time in the glass (and temperature), kiwi fruit becomes more prominent. Doesn't change my evaluation.

Light color. Deep floral waft on the nose as well as some kiwi and passionfruit. Very lively palate, lots of fresh juicy fruit, balanced sweet and sour flavours and finishing medium length. Soft texture for a wine so young from this region.

Incredibly aromatic and intense, passionfruit, guava, cut grass leap out of the glass. Concentrated fresh palate, nutty notes add interest.
