Total sleeper. Low expectations high value. Dark, fragrant, luscious. Lots of stuff going on here, and she was youthful. This is great now and should develop for a few more years, classic cali mountain cab.

damn beautiful wine. Nose of crushed blackberry, currant and creme de cassis with a hint of licorice. Palate is full of dark fruit with fantastic cocoa/mocha. Tannins are well integrated. Finish is at least 60 sec. I have really enjoyed the Chappellet artist series clonal bottlings. I think they should do them more often.

Damn smooth cabernet. Oh so tasty with beef tenderloin. I only wish I could have had it with the lobster tail that was available a little earlier in the meal.

Fine rich oak, currents, plum and a hint of cherry. A touch of rose petal and vanilla too. Light oak on the palate with dried fruits and spice coming to a nice long oaky finish. Very nice.

It's lost a step, but still a great bottle. Dark fruit with a layered round tannin. Finish of 30 sec or so.

This wine has impressed me greatly. Great finish. Nice balanced tannins...just smooth as a baby's bottom, with some nice complex tastes.
