Floral nose with flowers, brown spice, red cherry and candied fruit. Very elegant with moderate plus substance. More Burgundy than New Zealand. A pleasant surprise. 92+

Tasmanian Wine Tasting 2013 (Oak Barrel, Elizabeth Street, Sydney): Tending to 'that' Pinot Noir aroma but in the far ripe spectrum. There is also a touch of earthiness and cedar, slight smoke tone. And in the mouth this ripeness is reinforced - cherry and almost coholate oak, spice notes, almost plum fruit in fact. Too big, inelegant, tannic grip. Not what I look for in Pinot. Will it calm down? Possibly.

browning, still fresh with pink flowers over red fruit. Spice still tugging along. Smells of a wet farm. They age ok these pinots

Nice wine, lighter style pinot. Note sure it is value for money however - better Aussie and NZ pinots at this price point IMO.

A lovely pinot with complex flavours and taste of crushed raspberries.

Regionality of Tasmanian Pinot Noir (Restaurant Arris, Cleveland Street, Sydney): Colour: Pale ruby
Nose: Raspberry, perfumed, elegant, slight earth notes…touches of ‘that’ pinot nose
Mouth: Alcohol heat over red fruit and spice, short finish. How annoying.
