Golden yellow in colour. Rich and lush with dried apricots, quince, orange zest, pear, some vanilla and honeycomb. Almost slightly oxidative notes with great balance and very good drinkability. This was very delicious at almost room temperature
Light yellow color, much fresher compared to the 2009 version. There’s good complexity here, a mélange of various stone fruits, minerals. Still a wine of richness, but that’s the nature of the Marsanne from the Northern Rhône. This is a great wine, needs to paired with food.

Wow quite unique. Vivid dark gold in color. Intense nose of ripe yellow plum, vanilla, mineral, nuts. Very concentrated full bodied intense palate. Long oily finish. This style may not be for everyone but this is an amazing wine.

This wasn't what I was expecting. Very much like a Viognier but with a hint of dry sherry. It opened up quickly and was very good quality. Quite hard to pair this but it worked well with a mild Indonesian salmon curry.

Opened this wine for a gathering with close friends tonight at home.
Wine was golden in colour, with pungent notes of oil on the nose upon opening. After half an hour of decanting, the wine opened up. Nutty notes plus caramel and popcorn and some dried herbs, followed by some buttery and cream on the palate. A hint of bitterness in the finish.
We paired this with salad, ham, sashimi and sushi.

Winemaker's dinner with Philippe Guigal (Operakällaren, Stockholm): Golden yellow colour. Nose with ripe yellow fruit, yellow apples, hints of oranges, mineral, some spice and a hint of flowery aromas. Palate with ripe yellow fruit, apple, noticeable mineral notes, slightly oily texture, spice, medium(-) acidity, a hint of bitterness, good aftertaste. Foody style, rather drinkable now, 90(+) p.

En fin och balanserad doft med honung, persikor, rostade nötter och uns av saffran och rökighet. Lite fet men frisk fin smak av honung, vita vinbär, persika, mineral och en aning nötig i eftersmaken.

On the nose this shows saffron, exotic flowers, honey and smoke. Dry and fresh beautiful ripe white stone fruits, with a really long and lingering finish.

White Saint-Joseph is surely one of the world's most under-rated white wines, and Guigal's example, in their very distinctive style, is an important reference point for the region. This wine has an exotic, spicy bouquet, which has already begun to integrate its new oak, and offers up aromas of ripe peach, Grand Marnier, and notions of rose petal and lychee somewhat reminiscent of Condrieu. In the palate, this is rich and unctuously textured, with a core of saline minerality. This might be a very interesting wine with Asian food.
