Very pretty bottle that’s just clinging to the edge of ripeness. Bosky aromas of hedge fruit, a whiff of pepper, bracken and wild flowers make up the airy and expansive nose. The palate offers more wild berry and loamy flavors with little incandescent flashes of Pinot spice. Fine acidity and mostly resolved structure. Each sip seems prettier than the last. Fine pairing with pork cutlets with pecan mint pesto, black-eyed pea salad and sautéed string beans. Really enjoyed this. Heck of a bottle from a tough vintage.

Prior bottle was almost 16 months ago and this wine continues to show well. Red berry, red cherry, vanilla and oak on the nose. Medium bodied with tart, yet bright red berry upfront. Roundness develops quickly as it brings in red cherry through the middle showing good contrast and density. Tart notes, especially cranberry come in on the backside. Acidity is a bit more integrated than with the prior bottle and finishes with light spices, mineral and earth notes.
In terms of development, the wine showed positive integration and better balance, but has lost a bit of the nuance and silky elegance that the first bottle showed. It was drunk over three hours as opposed to six previously, but it simply felt like as the wine came together, it just lost a small step of prior complexity. All that said, it's still showing quite well, is at peak and should be able to hold this level for another year easily.

Red berry and red cherry on the nose. Medium bodied (13% ABV) and opened two hours ahead of time and then drunk over the course of a bit over four additional hours (six total). Showed bright red berry upfront, followed by deeper red cherry and then nicely tart acidity along with cranberry towards the back. Finishes with integrated spices, light earth notes and very good good mineral qualities. The longer it was open, the more depth it seemed to develop through the middle and the more the fruit seemed to gain additional nuances. By the end of those six hours it was round and elegant with excellent richness and overall balance. The structure melded with the fruit and there was no fading or dropoffs. Given how completely this wine showed, but taking into account the amount of time it took to reach that point, as well as how the 2009 and 2010 showed earlier this spring, I think holding it a little longer will yield some additional improvement. I may try a little min-vertical of Pomarium 2009-2013 early in Summer 2018.

At the Kitchen in Boulder for our 15th anniv. A great wine, very light, a lot of crunchy pomegranate, strawberry and cherry. I think will be even better in a few years. Need to seek this out.

A nice silkiness to this bottle, elegant with a rather linear focus, medium/light body, nicely balanced. Not a fruit bomb, much to its credit.

Young, neat fruity nose, nice and light mouthfeel. I look forward to seeing this evolve.

Very good midweight wine, lots of character. Clearly California, but very fun to drink.

Best weight in a wine I have tasted in a while. It floats in your mouth. Very enjoyable though not the knockout i thought it was earlier.
