Past it's prime. Drinkable but not much beyond that. . the second bottle in the last few months and both have been bland with too much vanilla and overly sweet. no depth.

(pnp) Cork crumbled. Revolving layers of dark fruits on the nose throughout the evening and didn't integrate with the palate until 2-3 hours in. Tart raspberry mid to upper palate with tannin integrated into very light lower palate finishing with tar that later evolved as leather. Delineated concentrations of focused flavors which were a bit less interesting as it evolved and flattened out in the home stretch into more of "a very nice wine", nevertheless....overall very enjoyable

pnp ample nose of dark fruits, a bit tart/stringent initially in the upper palate, nice dark fruit but tannin was a little weak.......however it came together nicely after about 45min-1hr as the tannin came out of hiding and provided supple support for the fruit and finish with the upper palate calmed into a bit of cranberry and spice ....enjoyable. not the best QPR

seems to be an issue with the aging of their corks. The wine was not completely defective, but definitely did not taste like it was supposed to. Perhaps Juslyn wines are not good candidates for aging

This wine is just fine, but just doesn't stand up to their Cabernet bottling IMHO. It may go somewhere, but I have trouble seeing it. Good Bdx blend in general, but at the price it should be more memorable.

Gros vin ample et boisé. Belle senteurs de vanille et de bleuets. En bouche, beaucoup de matière, ample et un brin confituré. Tannins ronds et acidité basse. Finale longue et boisé.

Deep ruby color. Fruity nose (plum, currant, berry) along with tobacco, earth, leather. Palate is about the same. Medium+ acidity & tannins; full body, high alcohol (14.8%). A nice blend - the Merlot dominates and a little pop from the Cab and PV. Smooth, drinks easy.

Wine seeped about 90% through and top of bottle chipped on open (grrr - not much luck lately). Wasn't expecting much based on this, however was pleasantly surprised. Still not no score but may change that as its getting better.

Really nice, but doesn't live up to the Cabernet Bottling from Juslyn (which is also $30 more/btl). Elegant and structured, but needs several hours of decant to open up at this point.

VERY big dark fruit up front, followed by sweet oak, tobacco & firm tannins. My wife's style, but I found it enjoyable as well - nice, interesting layers that work very well together.

Decanted for two hours. Full bodied. Vanilla with a mixture of smokey black and red fruits on the nose. Nice fruit flavors, and smooth texture with mild and approachable tannins. Very nice finish. Drank along side of the 2007 which has a higher percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon. Group consensus was the 2007 was better.

Decanted for 2 hours before tasting. Plum, sour fruit and spice on the nose. Tastes of dark fruit, tobacco, earth and spice. Even though this is primarily Merlot, you can really taste the cab. Leaves the pallet dry on the back end. Reminds me a lot of a poor man's Quintessa. But alas, everything about this wine seems muted, and slightly dull. I would love it if the was more of a boldness and soul to it.

Bargins vs. Big Boys (Farpointe Cellar): Coffee and tobacco on the nose, plus black fruit and spice in the middle, and some candied fruit at the end. Rich and thick on the palate, with black and blue fruit, spice, cigar leaves, and a good mocha finish.

Wine has not aged well at all. No tannins, a bit of a fruit syrup.

I think this wine is past peak. Drank fine but everything seemed muted and a bit confused.

Dry crumbling cork(3 out of 4 bottles), nice nose, tobacco, plums and medium to long finish. Nice Bordeaux blend.

Loved this. For lack of a better descriptor, my friends call this wine "very Napa." Big and bold. Dry, long finish.
