Straw yellow; intense toffee, vanilla, honeydew melons, kiwis, grapefruits; grapefruit, minerally, creamy, medium body, good structure, good acidity, lingering finish. Elegant with rich mouthfeel and structure for aging. Superb with crabmeat stuffed avocado.

Surprise, surprise. Popped one while having a creamy cod/crayfish/avocado-dish and delivered wonderfully. Much better with this food than on its own. The rich, slightly overdone, characteristics are taken in control by the this dish and the wine even shows some freshness. With food 17/20, on its own 15/20.

No formal notes; Bought this because it "could be mistaken for a top-Burgundy in a blind tasting". Well: NOT. This obviously is very modern and New-Worldy, with lots of vanillin oak, hazelnut and tropical fruit like pine-apple and even mango. Disappointed at first but it later turned out to be a thick, voluptuous glass of wine, without any complexity or elegance, though. I think I would serve this with chicken or veal, rather than seafood. My mother would like it a lot! (~14-15/20 IMB).

Some oak, butter and citrus aromas. Palate is rounded and doesn't really have the depth to be better than good.

A lovely mornington example with toasted hazelnut and melon.
