Wow. At its price point a great value although I suspect the 9 years in the cellar added to its maturity. Tons of honey peach, nuts And a lovely finish Thanks Morgan for be willing to experiment.

I wish I could find my notes on this. I waited 10 years to open this wine, and I could have waiting till 2031. It was an Oh Boy wine if ever there was one. I brought this to a Wineberserker dinner at PDH (Peking Duck House) in NYC. No rush to drink; but if you do, please share and enjoy. This was a one and done wine until the 2018 Bedrock Wine Co. Gewürztraminer Late Harvest Alta Vista Vineyard came along. I bought 2 of those!
Bedrock Unicorn Alert! Quick work trip to Chicago so I was able to grab dinner with a friend who was kind enough to bring this beauty. Absolutley stunning. When the wine enters your mouth you get an explosion of peach and apricots, to the point where you fully expect the wine to turn out heavy and overly sweet....but then it somehow lightly tiptoes across your tongue and delicately dances across your palate ending with a long, beautiful finish. Incredible wine and easily the best domestic dessert wine I've ever had
And Morgan/Chris.....PLEASE tell me you might be able to make this wine again!!

I was surprised when I pulled this out of the cellar, when first cellared it was a light golden color with lots of sediment. Now it was taking on a light red color. Anyways the wine is fantastic! Peach, marmalade, apricot and mouthwatering acidity keeps it bright. Very sad I had only the one bottle, and lucky I did get one.

Burgers and wines @ home (Milford, CT): This underwhelmed me on the first taste (popped and poured), as it came across and extremely thick, sweet and candied, with only moderate acidity. As this took on air it became more focused and precise. Yes, it was EXTREMELY sweet, but once the acids kicked in, it really left the palate clean and refreshed. So much apricots, peach, spice, honey and other jammy orchard fruits are packed into this wine. On day 2 this just exploded on the palate. I have one more left, which I will try to age.

Burgers and wine at Marco's (Milford, CT): This is fantastic, and probably the best domestic sweet/dessert wine I've ever had. Incredibly intense and layered with an array of ripe orchard fruits, honey, orange marmalade, higher toned floral notes, and a touch of spice, all coming together on a silky textured palate that's very rich but never overly heavy or cloying. Bravo, Morgan and Chris.

This wine is really something of the ordinaries. Sweet, but with a billion aromas of honey, peach, melon and all kind of good stuff. We had it with cheesecake, but I would recommend drinking it on its own. It is so complex and gorgeous. Only downside: This was my only bottle.

Honey, apricot and sweet apple cider. Thick, sweet, but not syrupy. Has a nice little sweet/tart bite at the end. Not sure how you could make it any better.

Floral peach nose. Full-bodied and packed with honey, dried pineapple and apricot flavors, yet not at all cloying. In fact, this had a refreshing finish. Enjoyed with candied kumquat flan at the Comal (Berkeley) Bedrock dinner. This should lay down very nicely.

This was just an infant. It isn't an American Sauturne, but a creation all of its own. Very delicate and not ay all cloying.

Great stuff. Gulpable, which is dangerous. Very Sauterne like. Kept corked in fridge for almost a week and I think I liked it even better then...
