Medium purple with a touch of garnet. Lovely bouquet of fruit, spice and earthy tones. Blackberry and cassis with plenty of acid. Will decant the rest.

Wonderful deep red, with dark fruits and a hint of licorice on the nose. The black licorice flavor really jumps out and fills the palate, with a hint of white pepper. Medium-long finish. Very nice wine and great value.

This stuff never fails, especially for the price (about $9). It's a very pleasing Grenache. Fairly light-bodied, not particularly spicy but somewhat. Tastes very good....good grapes.
Goes very well with chicken, in my experience, if you're looking for a red to drink with the white bird. It can stand up to nice sauce with it, too.

Can't believe the $8 average community price on this.......bargain. But, to be fair, $20 for this is not too bad in the Australian market. Straightforward and I think younger and not low yield material. A little smoke, a touch of stink and prunes, liquered cherry and some fine grained tannin to finish. A reason to visit Spain I reckon.

Clear and bright, medium ruby colour and presence of legs. The nose is clean and youthful, showing pronounced intensity simple aromas of strawberry candy, blackberry and dark plums. The wine is dry with a medium- acidity, medium+ slightly coarse tannins, high alcohol, full body and medium+ intensity simple flavours of strawberry candy, blackberry and dark plums. Medium+ finish.
It is a very good quality wine with a nice balance between fruit and tannins and a decent fruit concentration and finish, but it lacks complexity. Drink now, but it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop some complexity in the next 1-2 years.

Dark purple; youthful vibrant purple edges. Pleasant fruit aromas. Medium/full bodied. Good balance and well integrated wine. Cocoa, but not too bitter. Fairly long legs and a bit of heat on finish but nice. (Pleasantly surprised, especially given the price. Liked by me, wife and neighbor.)
Recommended.

Opaque purple in color, this wine, a blend of 70% Garnacha Tintorera(?) and 30% Monastrell, revealed bitter raw cocoa, blueberry, violet and cassis on the nose. The mouth feel was soft and smooth and brought added notes of cherry flavored licorice and more raw cocoa. The finish was medium in length and the tannins, acidity and fruit came together seamlessly.
Purchased for only $8.99US, this wine is very well made and an outstanding value. My score is not higher as the defined bitter chocolate notes are not to my liking.

Had this dining out and was pleased with it. After looking up the retail price, I was shocked that a sub $10 wine could be so good. Quickly ran out to buy a couple and will score after consumption.

PnP, before dinner on Christmas as guests were arriving. meh, some decent fruit, nothing much else going on. Drank at or around its sub $7 pricetag. Would drink again, not sure I would buy though even at the bargain price. Much preferred the 2012 Bodegas Borsao Campo de Borja Tinto at that price range....

This is a lot of wine for $9 and for the matter, would be a lot of wine at $18. With 70% Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouchet) we would expect, and do receive a super purple color, intense spicy blue fruit nose, and quick hitting fruit. They added some oak, and probably some lees treatment to help with some mouth coating richness. Although quite concentrated, it is not necessarily intense, and actually is on the simple side. Lots of youngish, spicy purple fruit. This is purple teeth wine. There is enough acidity to keep things in balance, but this wine is so smooth now, it doesn't need much aging. Rich plum flavor finish.

Quite a good wine, but justifies the WA 90 score only under a very generous grade inflation. I would describe this as a basic cote du rhone red, albeit from Spain. Fruit-forward, a bit hot, a little VA, but basically an easy wine to enjoy.

As per last few more robust notes below - this is a nice vino for the low price. I would say 87-88. Has nice character and a couple of layers. Darker fruit, black berry/mocha, among other similar notes. Easy drinking and has decent finish. Nice one.

Powerful menthol & cedar nose. Sweetish red & black fruit entry but with good acidic uplift that transitions to minerality and a hint of tar on the lingering finish. Hard to find a better value at C$14

This Granacha-Monastrell blend is inky in the glass with a ruby halo. Nose of blackberry and cherry. On the palate, medium-bodied with the same cherry and blackberry as well as licorice and subtle spice. Has a tart but forgettable finish. Lacking the complexity and mid-palate of similary priced and flavored Spanish wines including the much better Evodia.

Not decanted, consumed over ~3 hours. A big, fleshy, fruit-forward red with dense dark cherry/grapey fruit, a bit of oak treatment, maybe a hint of baking spice towards the end. Not much tannin, but just enough acid to keep it from seeming totally flat. Possibly a little RS, but I'm not sure...could be just very ripe fruit. 14.5% alc. didn't show through much.
We don't always mind big wines, but this one isn't interesting enough for us to go back to. However, if you're a fan of jammy, crowd-pleasing New World wines, it's worth a try - this could be a good QPR choice for you at ~$8. Scorewise, maybe somewhere in the low 80's.
Simple and juicy with a little bit of heat on the medium length finish. I'm torn between appreciating the QPR of this at $8, but also being reminded why it's often worthwhile to spend a little extra to get something that surpasses "eh, good enough."

Very good blend QPR for this wine if you like a somewhat tart berry taste with a dry finish. High alcohol content - 14.5% tends to give this wine a robustness not found in your standard Spanish wine.

Fleshy tasting Spanish GM blend. Black cherry, blackberry fruit. Medium body. Subtle oak notes with a touch of smoke. Mild tannins and acid. Cinnamon and pepper spice on the warming alcohol finish, fading to black tea at the back end. What's not to like for 8 bucks? Back up the truck.

Opaque purple. Red and black fruits with notes of spice and pepper on the nose. Chewy and sweet across the palate. Juicey and spicy but nicely delineated. Not a flabby over ripe grenache. Very satisfying and, for $8, I am getting more. Fabulous PQR.

Rich and a little on the smokey side, with sweetish raspberry and cherry flavors along with some french herbs on the midpalate. Smooth and balanced -- not a bad midweek quaffer.

I had this with a cheese plate on 8/9/13. I poured it through the vinturi twice and then let it sit in the decanter for an hour. It had a deep, dark bouquet of smoke, tar, earth, black cherry, blackberry, plum, roasted herb and spice aromas. The palate was ripe, earthy and dry with flavors of dirt, burnt toast, plum, blackberry, black cherry, clove and spice.
