The wine is clear, with medium gold color and watery rims. On the nose the wine is clean, with medium plus primary aromas of honeysuckle, honey, lemon zest, white peach, white ripe melon, along with medium secondary aromas of nuts, wet paint, and hints of oxidation. On the palate the wine starts as off dry, with slight hints of residual sugar, medium plus acidity, medium body, medium alcohol, medium plus flavors of lemon, ripe white peach, honeysuckle, mineral notes, wet stones, earthiness notes, green bitter herbs, finish is dry. The wine is of excellent quality, due to its great acidity, complexity and length. It is appealing and enjoyable now, but can keep benefit from further aging, and to start developing more of the secondary and tertiary aromas and flavors profiles.

Tasting Ground official tasting, 2012 Domaine Huet sec (Oinoscent): Bottle uncorked 11:00, tasted 14:00 The wine shows medium intensity, ripe to overripe citrus, quince, bergamot, floral notes, honey notes, tin apricot, flint and smoky too, minerality shines through. In the palate, the wine shows airy lightness, smoky, mineral profile, the fruit is way more fresh here, almost green, insance acidity and long finish

This bottle showed signs of oxidation, with both sherry notes (not in a good way) and something I would compare to cheap butterscotch hard candy. Stored since purchase in a Eurocave. No rating, since obviously flawed. But thought I would mention since others have encountered similar premox issues.

Showed mild but noticeable signs of the premox that others have been reporting in the 2012 secs. Normally oxidative notes are a deal-breaker for me, but I quite enjoyed the wine, even if those flavors made it atypical for what it should be. It did deteriorate after being open for an hour or so, so I will drink my other bottle of this fairly soon.

La robe du vin est or, semi-translucide. Il dégage des arômes de fruits jaunes confits, de cire d'abeille, d'amande / de noix avec une pointe de fruits tropicaux. This wine is quite good and I will guess that it is near it's prime. Chenin blanc tastes different then other white wines and must not be comopared with other varietals. I'm a fan og Huet but this was disappointing. Yes, there is the minerality and the finnish has some sweet and acidic flavours but the mid palate is just hollow and lacks fruit and freshness. There's not much there. Haven't had any other bottles of this wine in this vintage so have nothing to compare it with. The wine is not damaged. Might be an off bottle.

Medium gold in color with aromas of white flowers, quince and green apple. Softly textured. Rich fruit is balanced with energetic acidity present. Long evenly distributed finish is grounded on chalky base. Serving temperature is key here as ripe fruit flavors can be easily muted if over chilled. Hits it's stride when just slightly chilled. Paired beautifully with poached white fish and lobster.

Opened this for the Barça-Athletic Bilbao game a few weeks ago, but forgot to write a note. More acid than Timothy Leary, just a tiny touch of rs. Lots of citrus and a bit of beeswax, but even with a ton of air this wasn't giving much up. Nice, well-made Huet, but not a showstopper. Neither is this year's Athletic side, by the way.

Brought to Christmas eve dinner for my niece who drinks no red wine. This needed a lot of time, and seems to have a bit of RS. I think this might want another ten years to develop texture and complexity--there's something behind the sweet white peach and floral aromas, but it's a little disappointing right now.

Nose shows minerals, wet grass, citrus and spice notes (coriander?). Palate is dry and light in body with subtle lemon and bergamot wrapped around the mineral core. The bitter-lemon finish is pleasant but verging on austerity. Enjoyable, but a bit thin and wishy-washy. I doubt it has the stuffing to age particularly well. Apparently this was a tough year for the domaine, with about 50% of production lost to hail.

Initially muted at first. Subtle exhibition of fruit was slowly revealed as it warmed. Delicate and softly textured. Flavors of quince and green apple prevail on chalky base. Mouthwatering salinity present provides a long refreshing finish. Okay but this feels slightly out of balance without a higher expression of fruit on display.

I opened this y/day, had some and didn't think it was all that great. Seemed to have a lot of tonic water, quinine flavor to it. Drinking today, it tastes similarly, kind of like a weakened 7-Up. Funny, what else came to mind was Tom Collins mix, a memory from log ago as a kid. Whatever the comparator, this vintage is just OK, nothing like being spoiled with the 2010, and to a lesser extent, the 2011. I've not bought the other Sec cuvees from 2012, and based on this showing of LHL, I won't.

Nice minerality on this wine. Slate and rock with some pear and Granny Smith apple. Not overly complex and fruit is not showing through as well as it could but enjoyable.

Nose dicrete of pear. Mouth surprising of salinity, purity , finesse, long mineral after taste. The colors are not yet there. But be shure that they will quickly come. Excellent potential. 90-92
