LV17, Pas Dose. Bright and energetic , firm but not uber sharp or difficult. If nothing else had a roundness and richness to the palate that we would not have guessed is zero dose. Pretty and elegant champagne. 91

From 2010 vintage. Opened for 2 h now. Yeasty, brioche aromas, with honeysuckle, minerals, flowers, apples, and spice. Palate is a nice blend of honeysuckle, spices, flowers, apples, citrus and an excellent mineral, yet creamy midpalate. Finishes nicely with bitter grapefruit pith, apples, and more minerals. Nicely done.

This last bottle was back to more bubbles, though very pleasantly soft ones, medium gold, lots of aged white Burgundy flavor. At least ten years old (preceeds my CT recording).

Francesca's birthday party at Equarias Hotel. Pop and poured. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Fine fizz. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of minerality, citrus lime, bruised green apple, brioche. Developing. On the palate, bone-dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (12.5%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of minerality, green apple, citrus lime, and brioche. Tart medium finish. Minerality increased with more air. Good quality Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut. Clean minerally style, but lacking some stuffing. Well, this is the entry level (amateur) after all.

Fizz & Fish @ Master's (Master's Super Fish, Waterloo): Nicely clean and fresh on the nose initially, and an obvious contrast to the Krug, but this also shows a touch of citrus spice and something a touch synthetic on the nose. A curious blend of minerality and richness. Not sure about that slightly synthetic top note. Could go either way but not currently a fan, though it suffers following the Krug. ***?

Colour: Pale gold, wonderful bubbles Nose: Fresh & clean minerality driven nose with notes of brioche, green apple and lemon peel. Palate: Bone dry with a good tension & structure. Again a nice minerality. Straight forward, perfect acidity.
I really liked this wine. Very good stuff.

Really beatiful mature champagne. This is from the 2006. Golden coler. Honey flavours with hints of lemon. Seems rounded by some bottle age. A pleasure to drink

2004 Based. Really nice. Complex, constantly evolving during 2h. Started quite vinous, very little bubble showing a touch of lemon curd and a hint of wood. Then it really opened up, eveything came together, mousse got more elegant and bubbles more lively while staying fine. Super balance, fresh lemon and some citrus. No dosage here and this Champagne is in a great place with the right maturity. Showing a little bit of age as well as a very elegant oxidative touch. Some chalk. What a cool bottle.

Interesting aromas - lemon, orange peel, flint, green apple and a basil type note to it. The palate is pure, long and poised, with a slender shard of richness prevelent. Great length to it. I really enjoyed this wine.

pale gold, the color was deeper than I might have guessed. a fine creamy mousse, nice bubbles. On the nose, green apple, lemon, pear, biscuity, some hawflakes. Clean and precise, mouthwatering acidity. Elegant and balanced. Like Alison Krause singing in a glass ! Outstanding, happy to drink this anytime!

Alcohol :: 12% From 2006 fruits. Popped and poured and similar to my previous exp with Leclapart champer (need long aeration), this is unyielding on the nose and palate with simple mineral, green apple notes but one can sense the intense, rich materials were buried underneath. The wine only started to expressed after about 60mins in the glass. The intense, focus aromas display notes of mineral, nut, floral, pear and green apple. A slightly more flashy wine that the quiet Aporte, slightly sweeter with more flesh but not as complex and weighty. Very tight but delineated, precise and well define with flavors of mineral, salinity, iron, pear that drive to the medium length finished with good persistent. 88-89

From memory. Pale gold. Very clean and elegant, leaning more towards the yeasty than the vinous. Easy to drink and extremely dry but balanced, still a lightweight, from nose to finish. Part of this may be just BdeB, but the whole seemed to lack some stuffing.
