Savigny at RSJ (RSJ Restaurant, London): Lovely fruit combined with a slightly savoury, marmite nose. Proper wine, starting tn develop a silkiness. Lovely but still a little young. ***1/2

Good fruit on the nose, still quite velvety to silky in the mouth, bright, fresh acidity with red fruits to the fore. Secondary development. Became slightly more spicy with air. Balnced, classic. Less good with the grouse than the 88 NSG Porrets drunk alongside it. ***1/3

just the smallest hint of rust at the rims of this dark purple but translucent and pretty wine. nose changed a lot over 2 hours, showing orange peel, seaweed, brown sugar, potting soil, cinnamon and cloves, and cooked cherries. smooth as silk, tannins all gone, luscious sweet stewed red cherries on the palate. some cooked fig too. great acidity, well balanced with a spicy finish. elegant, complex, beautiful wine.

Mid ruby; lovely nose of sweet cherry with hints of caramel. Smooth and mellow, nice fruit and balancing acidity. Tannins fully resolved. Light, elegant and with medium length. Spot on now but probably no great rush to drink up.

It is just plain jawdropping how fresh, vibrant, and energetic the fruit in this wine is, like freshly picked berries while being almost gothically dark and packed with violets. The mouthfeel is so slick it's slippery with an acid spine as sharp and fine as a knife blade glistening in the night.

Good colour; quite subdued on the nose. Palatte clean with good acidity and definition. Lacks fat and fruit. Improved with a cigar, gaining flesh and depth. OK.

This bottle seemed a little off kilter, tho the cork was fine. Different style than everything else. Licorice. Just didn't do it for me.

Mid garnet. Nice mix of gamey sous-bois, gentle spice and dark red fruits; silky texture. A point. Good acidity, classic mature burgundy. ***1/2

Good, but still quite closed and tight. Better in 6mths to a year.
