Iron. Gritty tannins. Med-high acid. Red fruited but very dry. You need to look hard to find the sweetness here, but airtime lets it out. Savory-stemmy; more ripe tomato than ripe fruit (not in a bad way). Lots of stuffing here for positive development. More like Sangiovese than Pinot, this would pair well with a seared steak.

Very nice and a reinforcing bottle after I fell for the 2011 Pousse 60 Ouvrees. This bottle was more rich and dense, saturated. While both are transparent, this one shows a nice contrast between 2011 and 2012. Dense, dark red cherry fruit, pretty dark loamy soil. It has energy and lift. Quite nice really.

Very perfumed and generous nose. Flowers, violets, and a sandy minerality. Delicious. Incredibly pure, clean and tender palate on the lighter side. Very elegant. Sandalwood and hints of cinnamon (almost reminiscent of NZ-pinot!). Very good grip and delicious notes of minerals. Very inviting in the flirty school. An immediate love.

Grands Jours de Bourgogne 2014 Day 5: Volnay and Meursault, Corton 3-21-14: 20 days in bottle. 30% new oak. OMFG doesn't begin to describe this wine; it's pretty much perfect. 2.414ha. Total destem. 3 total sorts, 1 machine. Palate is an impossible to spit fruit and rose concoction. I so eagerly await this and the previous wines' arrival to NY mkt. A must (no pun...)

Dark red. Deep cherry and cherry syrup perfume. Excellent cherry fruit in a tangy structure. "Feminine" seems appropriate. Medium length mineral finish.

Beautiful. On the ripe side but so lively. Still primary in many ways. Sexy.

Peter Vezan Portfolio Tasting (Knightsbridge - Northbrook IL): Tasting, brief note. all about red fruit with touches of floral and spice support. Also well balanced with sneaky structure that I like.
