  • On the dark red fruit side with soil and plums. Drunk after a perfect Vaucrains 09 from Gouges, this one is more massive and less filigree. Decanted 3 hours before, very good but only at the beginning of its drinking window.

  • Ikke dekantert. Tanninhelvete førte glass. Så mer og mer imøtekommende. Herlig etterhvert. Også pen dag 2, men mer påtrengende syre. Men pen.

  • Beautiful ruby red color with burnt rubber, red cherry, earth and spice on the nose. The nose also shows a very subtle dark florality. The burnt rubber dominates the nose for the first 30 minutes or so; however, after about 30 minutes the rubber notes fade away and the nose is dominated by red fruit, floral, earth and spice notes. On the palate, the wine shows medium-plus body with sweet tannins, red fruits and earth. The tannins are sweet and become well integrated after about 90 minutes. There is a lovely balance of power, fruit and earth here. Like the 2011, this wine is very sophisticated, especially for a Corton. In a nut shell, an excellent Corton that will drink its best between 10 and 15 years from the vintage.
