D1h. Deep red, red rim, 5.5. Generous complex bouquet, sweetish mature elements mixed with the classic Italian cask stuff. Well balanced and harmonious palate, resolved tannins, long almost elegant finish. Drink now-2018. What a pleasant surprise. At last I had a mature well composed Montepulciano wine.

Tart cherry, raspberry aromas mixed with smoke and other woody notes, the palette is all silky Bing cherry, black cherry, with subtle cranberry and raspberry sneaking in as well in the mid-palette. Faint spice and wood notes fold into the creamy fruit filled finish of medium length. Quite tasty overall, at it's peak, drink before 2016 for best maturity. Purchased at Costco in 2011, cellared in temp controlled cellar.

A couple years in the bottle really helped. The nose was a bit funky, but the wine still has plenty of life left with cherry and red berry fruit backed by refreshing acidity with leather and tobacco notes folding into the silky finish where pepper spice emerges along with more cherry and berry fruit. The tannins have integrated nicely as well, overall, no complaints for a 10 dollar Costco wine, great QPR. I held onto a couple of bottles on a whim a couple years ago, I will drink my other bottle in 2016 hoping for a bit more improvement as I am not confident the wine has peaked yet.

This wine is one we keep in our cellar all the time and it referenced as the "Stick Wine". Year over year it is very consistent and good. It has nice dark ruby color, Nose of fruits, berries, slight earthiness, hints of leather and chocolate, with a medium bodied and smooth tannin finish. Great everyday drinker that is nicely priced.

I have been drinking this wine since 2003.... Every bottle I have enjoyed, it has been very consistent and our go to wine overall. I really can not say a bad thing about it. Having enjoyed many different bottles from various wineries this vineyard I think is the best for bottles under $15.00.
The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Medium. It tastes like Blackberry, and Red Currant. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Round texture. The wine finishes Short.
Liked this much more than I expected, let it decant significantly. I'll defininitey look for more at a good price. A nice change from the usual pinots, malbecs, etc

This was a very pleasant $15 Montepulciano that went well with leftover HoneyBaked ham and many different sides. Typical Italian red earthy/mineral bramble with bing cherries. Neither a timid thin red, nor an in your face fat red - right down the middle. Just a delightful change of pace. Might of seen a touch of oak, it is at its peak right now (as of this date). Don't see as being age-worthy. Great Quality to Price Ratio. Cute bottle format. Would buy again.

This is a pretty intense wine for $10. Dark in the glass, very typical Sangiovese color. Cranberries and cherries on the nose with some graphite mineral aromas. Almost big in the mouth, easily more than medium bodied. Rounded, but fresh red raspberry, strawberry and cherry fruit. Some of those mineral like, enhancing non fruit flavors. Some oak. Medium tannins. Really quit civilized. Balanced. Maybe a little dry on the finish with some cherry, leather, and graphite.

I opened and drank without decanting. A very deep burgundy color and nice body in the glass. A nice nose with dark fruits, mainly plum and cassis. It also has nice earthiness and a spicy pepper with a slight alcohol note. Tasting the wine was a treat. There is a brighter fruit compared to the nose with cherry. With low to medium tannins it drinks very smoothly but does have a bit of an astringent aftertaste. Overall this wine is a keeper especially at this price point. Plus the bottle is made to be noticed with the straw and twig accent.

Sun-ripened raspberry is the main flavor, with an earthy crushed rock component on the midpalate that adds to the experience. A little on the sweet side. As others have said, it isn't complex, but a surprisingly nice midweek italian table wine.
