Pop-n-pour. Smells like a Viognier. Tastes a bit like Viognier too but much more tart with a lemon-lime vibe and subtle mineral notes. Loads of acidity. A nice crisp Summer sipper.

My last bottle and it hasn't changed since last summer. Identical notes. I tried this side by side with the '12 and that one seemed much fresher with stronger acidity & mineral notes. This is still tasty but I'd drink by the end of this summer.

Wife loves this wine. Similar note to 1.5 years ago - initially sweet, but with a dry finish. Pear, green apple, oily. 13% ABV. Good stuff. Drink now or hold for a few years.

Interesting comparing this to my note from a year ago. The aromas and flavors match, both within this wine and with last year- tropical fruit and melon, now adding white flowers. The freshness is starting to fade slightly but that minerality I mentioned being absent a year ago is here now. Actually the finish is the best part of the wine as it's surprisingly long, keeps the fruit flavors and adds light-medium acidity and medium+ mineral notes. Nice structure and tasty, likely best now but should last through next summer.

Bright stone fruits in the nose and body, very good acidity and lovely finish. One hesitates to give an outstanding to a unoaked "simple" wine, but this was truly expressive of the varietal and a pleasure to drink. Spring has arrived with this bottle in Alaska!

Light yellow in color, with a slight green tint. Apple, citrus, mineral, and a touch of spice. Crisp, with lively acidity.
An interesting change of pace wine for us, but I found this to have too much mineral and lacking structure. Probably what you'd expect for an albarino, but potato bacon chive soup just wasn't a great pairing. Me - 88. Wife - 90.

Pale gold. Nose of orange blossom, light minerals, lemon Starburst candy, and apricot. Smooth mouthfeel with flavors of minerals, lemon and light banana. Smoother than the 2013 Lolo Albariño that I had alongside. Both wines were too acidic for the crab and cheese soufflé with which I paired them.
Update: the wines went spectacularly with caesar salad and fish and chips.

This wine was a bit disjointed at first, but drinking great by the end of the night. Forgot to stop it up for the night, but to my great surprise it was drinking even better on day two. Makes me wonder if I've been doing things wrong by drinking these so early without giving them any air.
Nice acidity and minerality, with tastes of stone fruits (peach?), wet rocks along a fresh spring, lemon, and honey. As others have said, perhaps not the most complex wine. But it sure is enjoyable.
fleshy. lots of tropical fruit in the mouth. clean nose with notes of lemongrass, white peach and honey. Quite a departure from traditional Spanish Albarino. Creamy finish.

Pale straw yellow green color with peach, melon, lime and mandarin orange aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, dry and well-balanced with peach, melon, and citrus flavors and a lingering finish. Wonderful with Seafood Paella

Excellent sipper. Nice stone fruit and melon to go and the slight bitter finish and a nice salinity that is just so varietably correct. Nice length and good acid. Not too heady. Palate a little more reserved than previous, but really nice aromatics. Unlike the others I thought this was fairly put together though I gave it a little bit of a breather and was better day two. Really this has been rock solid year to year, and the 2013 is no different. This is what I expect from Albarino and it stands next to any from Portugal.

Unscrewed and poured. I just didn't understand this wine, it had an odd wet dog smell that wouldn't go away. Didn't have the fresh citrus and summer melon that I expected it to. Similar on the palate. Good acidity though.

A dominant lemon-lime nose was complemented by apple which soon faded, and eventually some peach showed too. On the palate, more lime, stone and a very salty finish. Acidity was fine, though seemingly a bit hidden underneath the baby fat.

Tough to score this - my first CA Albariño. Seemed like a richer style and came off a bit groggy. The bitterness was there, but not the bite. Given the winemaker, this may be the best one can expect from the grape in these parts. Bought one for the novelty, but may stick with Spain's version at a better price point.

Acid and fruitier than the 2011. I compared that to a Muscadet, which I love. This is bolder and more fruit forward than the 2011. Will be a great summer sipper on the deck, but I think I prefer the more minerally 2011.

Couldn't wait long to unscrew one of these. The acids were more prominent in this bottle than the taste I had on pick-up day but that's fine by me! Pretty, floral nose, nice palate weight and a healthy dose of acidity that leaves your mouth clean and craving another sip. Another great Abrente.

Bedrock Pickup Day (Sonoma, CA): I found this similar to the '12 in its refreshing deliciousness. A bit more ripe peach than you find in most Spanish Albarinos but still a nice spine of acidity that keeps it crisp and you wanting another sip. This taste suggested that six bottles will likely not be enough to last the summer.
