I was a bit disappointed by this. Bone-dry, acidic, very cheniny and tannic with a fuzzy, woolly, texture. The fruit leans toward grapefruit with some apple/pear tones but there's neither a lot of fruit concentration nor a lot of minerality. Just lots of acid and fuzz.

Still young, tight, unevolved. Only development since last taste 3 years ago is on the nose -- and it's horehound, of all things. Fortunately, I love horehound, so the future looks bright. Guessing its peak will come in another 3 years, with an indefinite plateau afterward. Hold, don't waste.

Thats it! I'm selling all my stuff and moving to Loire. Damn their whites are good! Bright nose of lemon, quince, honey, and white flowers. The quince was huge on the palate along with citrus, wax, honey, citrus, and a little vanilla. Bright acidity and a medium body made this wine a perfect match with a bunch a cheeses, especially a triple cream. And, actually held up to the lamb stew we had later. I hear these wines age well, but I can't keep my hands off 'em!

Moulin Touchais Pt. 2 @ Peter Z. (Belgium): Compact and quite undemonstrative in the nose. Soft and calm impressions of green tea, grass, ham and paper. On the palate this has smoky tea-leaf, some beeswax and sour cream. Tightly knit and youthful. Stimulating acidity.

Very nice indeed. It seems like a richer, thicker and more flavorful version of chenin blanc compared with the ('05) Haut Lieux. Typical quince/persimmon profile. It seems exotic to the chardonnay-trained palate, but it's a refreshing alternative.

Honey and flowers on the nose. Good wine with food. Hard to describe... There's little acidity but that's no problem in this wine. Beautiful.

Great acidity and minerality. Drank beautifully with Squash soup. David and I loved it.

Opened up a little. Citrus in the bouquet. Good freshness and acidity. Soft. Very tasteful. Very pure wine.
