Full body, deep garnet colour. Intense jam like aroma of ripe black fruits sweet spices’ box and toasted oak. Complex blackberry and plums palate following by fine tannins, gentle acidity and long liquorice but juicy finish. Rich and powerful, concentrated and bold, too high but well hidden alcohol, balance not affected. Well pairing to veal stew. Serve 16ºC - 18ºC. Mature but still very fresh, drink now and the next ten/twelve years.

95 Outstanding balance, complex layers, delicious, smooth, pure pleasure. Couldn't get enough. Everything a great wine should be. Drank several bottles in '16 and baffled by WS rating of 91 because the wine at that time lacked composure, finesse, grandeur, and silkiness. 5 years later the wine suprisingly transformed into a winner.

DTC; Israel and Lebanon (@ SS): Ripe dark berries like cassis, licorice, graphite and herbs in the bouquet. On the palate the same impressions, also some red berries, good acidity, a touch of sweetness, good acidity and round but sticky tannin. Full bodied and harmonious with some ok bitterness in the finish.

Fresh and balanced despite his 15%. No heat on the finish. Rich and opulent ripe fruit, with high volume and concentration. The end palate is persistent with nice acid, ripe red fruit, a bit drying mouthcoating tannins. Powerful but elegant enough. Still youthful.

This wine needed more than 3 hours of decanting to resolve the 15% alcohol, and start reveal its true charm. Nose : red and black fruits, smoke, ash and wet earth Mouth : First attack of ripe black fruits, then come some dirt and minerals. The fruit is pure and elegant. Impressive backbone with powdery tannins and a really long finish, which should allow to wine to develop for over a decade. Palate doesn’t stop evolving over time in the glass. Truly superb, and one of the best Israeli wines 93+

A phenomenol wine in the making. Red and black fruit, creme de cassis, lead pencil. Wonderful nose, great concentration and power but also showing fleshy elegance. Got better over the course of a two hour meal. Lots of potential.

Kosher. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Ripe sweet black fruit and iron/mineral to the nose. A distinct sweet cinnamon note to the palate. Very nice bottle of wine, but looks to be in the $65-75 range/bottle.

Weekly tasting group #214; Israel (@ CvR): In the bouquet dark forest fruits, licorice, vanilla and some green herbs. On the palate cassis and other dark berries, licorice, tar, some green notes, sweet spices and minerals . Concentrated wine with a good balance between acidity and sweetness and soft tannin with a pleasant bite. In its very young maturity stage, but drinking lovely already. No problem waiting until well into the 2020’s. 92+ for tonight.

I assume it was a bottle variation:
- lack of fruitiness
- dark dry wooded wine
- lack of aromas & flavors
