Dark purple. Fragrant, spicy cinnamon , and olives on the nose. Starts off tart, dried cherry, dusty, quickly dries out and has aged cab savory flavors. Okay, but not my cup of tea. Would not keep longer if you still have them. Tasted from a large tasting pour, and tasted twice

I had misplaced this bottle for a while. Uncovered recently I decided to open it lest I lose the wine again. I'm glad I opened it, as it was really showing well, with rich red and black fruit, balanced by softened but still present tannins and a long fruity and herbal finish. This was really delicious. Pride is an anomaly for me. I don't usually enjoy Bordeaux varieties from California, but take a bottle of Pride, put 8-10+ years on it, and I really love them. Fine stuff.

Medium full ruby. Great Paulliac-like nose nose of briar and graphite. Full red fruit on the palate with strong flavors of licorice and briar. Some tannic backbone remains. (25% Cab blend)

- Exotic, earthy aromas of sage, lavender, sous bois, almost like a Barbera of Dolcetto. - Very bright and fresh on entry with flavors of dried cherries and currants. Seems rather lean. - It has certainly lost any baby fat it may have had and comes across a bit attenuated tonight. - Should either have been drunk 5 years ago or cellared for another 5 years to see what happens.

($30) The Last Syrah at Lola: Drinking nicely, though it is was my one and only bottle. Shows a fair amount of oak but it frames rather than dominates the wine. A touch of pencil lead, je nais se qua on the nose with rich, moderately intense currant fruit and cedar. The 25% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend seems to add a structure.

Old but good. Aromatic cab franc. Dusty cherry nose. Could be confused with older Caymus. Old red fruit.
