  • A limited edition Riserva, dedicated to Attila (son of Franco Conterno) and Larissa (wife of Dutch importer Bernard Tesink). Aged for years under Vino-Lok until its very recent release under natural cork. Mature but lively appearance, light ruby and garnet colour; complex nose, deep and open, warm like roasted chestnuts but fresh and transparent, roses, forest floor, red berries, pleasant balsamic note, wonderful typicity; silky-sweet attack, medium weight, 14.5% ABV perfectly integrated, velvety but firm tannins, harmonious, lovely definition and precision; hint of coffee and nuts on the finish, excellent length. It looks like the Vino-Lok ageing experiment is worth following up on; the tannins soften but the tertiary development is slowed down and the resulting harmony is very attractive.
