I'm not as enthusiastic as other recent notes on this wine. Translucent red, darker at the center. Faint, pleasant strawberry aromas. Crisp and precise on the palate, strawberry, pepper, cherry. Bit earthy on the mid-palate. Smooth tannins, overly bright acidity, good balance. Finishes long and a bit hot (although the alcohol isn't that high). Nice, not exceptional. I'd drink over the next 2 years.

Pale+ brick with orangish rim. Ripe red fruit - cherry and cranberry with notes of lavender, baking spice, hint of vanilla, cedar, potting soil, and fresh Herbs de Provence. Med alcohol, med tannin, and high acidity. Well balanced, moderately complex, feels like the wine version of glamping - elegant with a rustic edge.

A little early to drink. Good acid, structure, with a firm backbone and a long finish. Notes of blackberry, raspberry, spice and tobacco. Not much terroir on the palate, but an earth note on the nose.

Drank for Dad's birthday during Manzanita family weekend, September 2016. Blind tasting of 2012, 2013 and 2014 Les Dijonnaise. Everyone thought the 2014 was the 2012. 2014 was the winner for all except Kyle, who liked the 2013. Amazing night. This is why we collect wine.

Popped and poured, consumed over 4 hours. Nose: Medium expressiveness, cranberry, cherry, underbrush, pine sap, and baking spice - really interesting. Palate: Medium bodied, cranberry and spice attack, great balance, spice and earth tones join in to drive a mid-palate lift, flavors build in intensity through the back-end. Finish: Lengthy sense of tart dark red fruit and baking spice. A great example of the potential presented by the 2012 vintage in Willamette.

Restaurant purchase. Light bodied and red-fruited with hints of darker, brambly/earthy elements in the background. Smooth and silky in texture, but with a good acidic cut keeping it fresh.

Being "Flighty" at the Wine Bar (Sunfish Cellars, St. Paul, MN): Medium red color. Drank a 2oz pour over an hour. The nose has some nice red raspberry, cedar, and briar; it adds in a forest floor after about 30 minutes in glass. The palate is lighter-medium bodied, distinctive cherries, but less fruit overall, briar, with some nicely framed wood on the mid palate and the medium plus finish. Overall a very solid effort that should improve over the next 2 years.

Very fine again. Good depth and complexity, with notes of spice, black cherry and tobacco.

Straight out of the bottle, it was excellent. It did not taste quite as good with the food- chicken.

Smooth, ripe and lithe (for Oregon Pinot). Good complexity, but an easy wine to drink. Long finish.

Willamette with a touch of Wedding Planning (or vice versa); 7/2/2014-7/4/2014 (Willamette Valley): Brightier and fruiter than the '11. Very sour red fruits, earthy, not a lot of changing flavors in the glass - comes across as a bit one dimensional. With more time in the glass it feels like it's loosening up a bit, but not quite there.
