Surpricingly fresh and fruty. Still some pleasent acid. The cork difficult to get out but no damage to the wine at all. Lots of red fruit, raspberry and strawberries. Silk tannins. Sorry it was the last one :(.

Tasted in magnum. Garnet. Medium intensity with cedar, tobacco and dried cranberry and cherry on the nose. Sour cherries, cranberries... Crunchy acidity with earthy plum notes. Slightly grainy tannins with dark chocolate and smokey finish. Great with food (steak and kidney pie), but the acidity is a touch too high on its own. Drink now / 12 months

This wine was a deep garnet in color. The nose was filled with scents of black, lush fruit and gardenias. The taste was balanced and had flavors reminiscent of black cherry, blackberry, plum and prune. This bottle was a great sip and just as great a value.

FP. Deep red, with a tinge of orange. Dusty, but with smooth tannins, with a hint of caramel on the nose, then raisins ruined it a bit (I don't like raisins).

Tasted June 17, 2006 at a retail tasting. Opened and served immediately in a Riedel Vinum Cabernet Sauvignon glass. Plum color in the glass, fairly clear throughout. Nose of barnyard, blackberries, pepper and clove. Flavors of red cherries, red berries, red licorice and some bitters on the earthy finish. Firm tannins with medium acidity. Drink over the short term. Based on the local retail price of $28.04 I’d say the value here is barely acceptable.

Spanish Wines (Farpointe Cellar): Deep red. I really liked the banyard aromas on the nose. There were also lots of raspberry fruit, spice, and vanilla. The palate had raspberr, cedar , and spice. The tannins were medium with a long finish.

Heritage: Great tangy earthy, old fruit notes that taste like the wine really has been soaked in oak for 8 years! It is complex and dry, and vivacious, and musky, and could stand to be arated for 2-3 hours before drinking!
