Rosy salmon color. Very little bead -- nearly still. A touch toasty, with a strong apple note on the Nose. Medium bodied on the palate. Red fruit flavors dominate (cherry and raspberry); some noticeable sweetness, but medium+ acidity helps somewhat; a hint of chalkiness emerged after being open a couple hours. This hasn't handled its age poorly (this bottle was purchased either in 2018 or 2020), but I can't say it has improved any, either: for Champagnes with this much fruit and sweetness I generally feel they benefit from an active bead, which age has taken away from this one. Will buy again, but unlikely to sit on it.

One of my favorite rose' champagnes I brought to our wine group dinner on Ciao Bella's fantastic patio! Best patio in the Twin Cities IMO & an unsung venue for well executed dishes and service. The place was as usual full, again on a Sunday. The Champagne was great with the tuna crisp.

My btl at our wine group's annual holiday dinner at StG who hit it out of the park tonight! Tim & St Gens team are such great host! This was a "starter" champagne I brought tonight for our holday dinner paired with some ahi tuna crisp. This was overshadowed by the later wines with dinner but worked very nicely with apps. It disappeared, quickly.

Very effervescent on initial pour. Salmon color, loads of juicy strawberry, red delicious apple, peach, and chalky minerality on the nose and palate. The champagne is elegant, while simultaneously has a juiciness to the fruit that gives it a little richness and complexity. Next time I see an offer this I’m buying a case. Great bubbles at a great price.

Pretty pink - lots of red cherries, yeast, baking spices and kirsch. Lots of elegance and complexity with a nicely balanced long, spicy finish. Only concern is that the bubbles were less than my experience with other champagnes - but delicious, nonetheless. Probably at peak - I wouldn't wait too long do drink.

a bit too much alcohol at first, but oddly as it warmed up and breathed the purity of strawberry and cherry cough syrup balanced the ethanol on the nose. still a bit too robust for my taste

End of night bubbles. Again one of those wines that's very easy and drinkable and quiet enjoyable actually. It's a wonderful way to finish an evening. Very bright and fresh and almost wakes the palate back up again.

Base wine '14 at this point in time. Has the chocolate covered cherry thing on the nose. Lotta fruit notes bill. And bright and perky cherry across the mid palate. Lots of red fruit, powerful, but still crisp.

Tight upon opening this took about 20-30min to really let go. And did it. The nose is the best show here.Subtle and complex with notes of blood orange, nectarine, strawberry jam and a touch of wood. The bubbles are a bit aggressive. It could also use a touch more acidic in order to lift off. But it's tasty enough. Big and bold. Melon and strawberry. Not the shy, elegant type. The cork has two numbers: 2011 and 0719. Best assumption of course is that the disgorgement is July of 2019 and this is 2011 base. The 2011 part is suspect given that seems a bit old for an NV and that was deemed a poor vintage. This wine shows a lot of fruit.

Wine in the time of Corona Virus - Quarantining in NYC & NH; 3/7/2020-9/1/2020 (NYC/NH): Unsure of disgorgement as not included on bottle. 75% Pinot Noir/ 25% Chardonnay. Some tasty pink bubbles to kick off a socially distanced Friday night BBQ with friends. Love the strawberry notes on this which has become a summertime house champagne for us with sharp pricing from Envoyer.

Wine in the time of Corona Virus - Quarantining in NYC & NH; 3/7/2020-9/1/2020 (NYC/NH): A first for us during the quarantine - we met up with friends for a socially distance stoop sitting hang. Only four of us - spaced six feet apart and so enjoyable!! Started off with the Goutourbe to toast the milestone. Equally delicious to prior experiences this went down very fast and easy.

Wine in the time of Corona Virus - Quarantining in NYC & NH; 3/7/2020-9/1/2020 (NYC/NH): Received my Envoyer shipment earlier in the week and happy that it included a case of this. A great house Rosé champagne to have around. Friday afternoon was the kickoff to Memorial Day weekend - so we headed over to the local park and enjoyed a bottle of this in our social distanced 6 foot circle. First time in a park sitting on the grass since quarantine started - drinking a delightful Champagne - what is not to love!!

Q1 2019 Tasting - 1995 Napa (The Apt): Bonus bottle. Served after all of the wines were tried as a nice palate cleanser before I went back to try to sort out where to vote. Enjoyable. Lots of red fruits and perhaps a touch heavier of a champagne than some. Seemed to fit with Napa where it was a bit more intense perhaps. But still a good break and an easy drinker. I think the bottle went quite fast.

Nose: The nose is pretty, balanced, and fresh with red cherries, strawberries, citrus notes, rose petals, minerals, berries, baked bread, and red apples.
Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. The acidity is refreshing and well integrated. The feel is well balanced and elegant with red cherries, strawberries, citrus notes, rose petals, red apples, and some fresh picked berries.
Overall: This is a lovely, red fruited Rose champagne. It doesn’t show much on the autolytic side and instead shows more pure fruit and elegance.

First time with wine and was quite pleased with the results at this price point. As I am finding with most champagne I drink these days, it definitely improves when it warms a bit in the glass. The color is a gorgeous deep pink. On the palate some strawberry, lemon and minerals - a fine mouse. Very light and bright with juicy red fruits, not a lot of additional depth at this point. This will be a great bottle to pop for spring/summer evenings on the roof deck before dinner - not too serious but lots of fun.

HDH auction at Spiaggia; 2/15/2018-2/17/2018 (Chicago, IL): A fairly simple, but nevertheless delicious bottle of rose. The nose and palate are gentle and soft, and the acidity here is not over the top at all. A really good roundness with sweet red fruit and just a hint of tartness. There is a touch of creaminess on the palate as well, but despite all of this roundness there's good acidity and cut to give this freshness.

Terry Theise Grower Champagne Tasting (Plum Market - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Comes across as very berry-driven with those flavors and rounded textures most common with PN-based Champagne (this is 75% Pinot Noir). Very fresh with young fruit (2012 base). Good for its level.

Terry Theise Grower Champagne Tasting (Chicago, IL): This is a very nice and well-rounded rose, with sufficient richness on the body to stand up to the acidity. The fruit on this also goes a long way towards balancing this out. Milder, but in the context of some very acidic wines, this was a standout.

Opened for New Year's Eve, shared with my wife: she is the best gift I could ask for in this year, in any year. This bubbly shows a creamy strawberry flavor tonight, even a touch of licorice. Zesty palate with refreshing acidity and a red apple finish. With the Dethune and Saves roses to go with this one, I drank a # of bottles in 2015 of this great trio. As for this Goutorbe, it's been many months since the last bottle and this drinks like all the previous, just fantastic for $40 and time to bug Envoyer to bring in more!
Sparkling "Wines by Joe" (Tracy's Patio): A small pour at a tasting. There is a lot to like about this Rose, but it is marred by a bitter, almost acrid finish. Everyone at the table felt the same. There were some nice qualities on the nose and palate, but my memory is fogged by that bitter finish.

Champagne and Sparklers (Tracy's, Mpls): Light medium salmon color. 75PN/25C, 2oz pour over 30 minutes next to the Camille Saves. I like the nose here, yeast, raspberry, minerals much more than the palate which seems on the bitter side to me. Raspberry, toast, yeast, light-medium body, dough, tangy, more sour, bitters on the finish. No contest with the Saves winning hands down. 88+pts.

WOW...I'm not a big Rose fan, but this is simply a great champagne. This is very well balanced without any bitterness I usually find in Roses. The nose is full of bright red fruits and minerality. On the palate, cherry, red apple skin, pear and strawberry with just the right amount of acidity that leads to a very extended spicy finish with minerality and a kiss of sweetness. The finish draws you back for another sip. It also went very well with or without food. I cannot recommend this wine highly enough and I immediately ordered more the next day. This is without a doubt the best $40 champers I have had. A big kudos to FMIII for his tasting note that convinced me I needed to grab some when Envoyer offered it last spring.

A great grower from the town of Ay, and a Rosé that does a nice job of mixing power and elegance. Extremely complex for a non-vintage bottle. Bright pink in color with sappy red berry and brioche flavors. There is a slight sweet note but finishes with plenty mineral cut.

Nose: The nose really takes you to a morning bakery with a lot of baking spices along with red fruit, red cherries, minerals, and citrus tones. There is a nice freshness to the tones with medium depth.
Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. The acidity is crisp and refreshing with baking spices, red fruits, red cherries, and some racy mineral notes.
Overall: This is an excellent NV rose. It's well balanced with a real attractive underlying minerality.

We visited the Goutorbes and drank a bottle of this wine on our 26th anniversary; opening a bottle on our 29th seems symmetrical. I have always felt that this wine is a great QPR and this bottle does not disappoint. Floral rose, wild strawberry, even a little sweet red peach mingle into a tantalizing mix of acidic fruity integration. There is a hint of Amaro-type bitterness on the finish which ties everything together. Bravo Goutorbe family; I am a buyer for life.

Nice salmon color. Tons of bubbles even in a Burg glass. Gorgeous fruit featuring strawberry, sour cherries and watermelon. Add in some subtle spice and chalk and this is a complete N.V. offering that delivers Vintage quality without the price tag. Splendid for a small-grower entry level rosé! By judging from the cork it was probably disgorged just 3 months ago whicht, to me, indicates that it will develop further flavors to my liking over time. Towards the deeper end of rosé color. Finetuned minerality on the nose with all the depth of Pinot Noir. On the palate, very refreshing acidity-driven red berries aromas such as wild strawberries. 89-91 Be sure to give it a try!

Grand cru rose...luscious style...super drinkable...under $100. Love it. In fact, I really enjoy the entry level white version, too. I get big, ripe blood orange on the nose. Palate follows with a lips-smacking red fruit and natural seeming sweetness (in the way of fresh fruit juice). This is an honest, well made wine that's 100% about the fruit. It should appeal to the American palate. If you are looking for an elegant, toasty Champagne with nuts, graceful honey, creaminess, and a citrus backbone, this is just not the bottle for you. If you like your rose bubbly fruit-forward and luscious, buy it. I can see some people giving it a 93.

Lovely Pinot-y aromas of crunchy cherries and strawberries backed by a red flower note, with just a hint of candied aspects. The mouthfeel is gorgeously silky, with tiny bubbles packed with the same flavors as the aromas, ending in a long, lip-smacking finish. Delicious as an appetizer wine.

NOSE: light yeast; high-toned strawberries; simple/straightforward, but pleasant.
BODY: rich orange-pink color; light bodied.
TASTE: not too sweet; "winey" --- typical Rosé flavors; distinct strawberry jam flavor; dry; moderately airy --- fairly light; really solid at $35.

Be sure to give it a try!
