Decent wine. A bit thick. Buttery - would have thought it was a California chard if I hadn't known differently. I bought this wine during a long day of tasting in Solvang and I can totally see how this wine appealed to my less than sober pallet.

We had tasted this at the winery last year and loved it. Opened the bottle and what a disappointment. TK thought it was tart. CW thought it was alcoholic and heavyhanded. We were missing the bright fruit. Bad bottle?

Popped this to have with some sashimi and it was way too oaky. Set 'er aside and didn't get back for a good 7 hours... to find petrol, citrus zest, freshly churned butter on the nose, and a rich silky mouthfeel with low to moderate acidity. Flavors of ripe peach, browned butter, and orange oil. Some heat. I'm not a big fan of roussanne, but this is very well done.

Pale yellow color with great nose of orange peel, peach and spice. Very concentrated and silky on the palate, this wine envelopes the palate with ripe fruit and a long focused finish. Best roussanne for the money at $20. Amazing QPR white from cental coast.

liked it alot, but I wasn't expecting what I got...lots of mossyand big oaky notes along with spice and then the fruit.....what is usually a zesty and vibrant wine was more like a young chardonnay?

Roussanne based wine. Tastes of caramel, kiwi, pear and passion fruit. Huge concentration. Light on the acidity making it a bit flabby and alcoholic.

Backstreet - Whites (Backstreet Wine Salon, Phoenix, AZ): Bland - not much going on here. Finish improved after some time in the glass.

Intense and full bodied. A bit disjointed and less than elegant, but an interesting and distinctive wine.

Complex - toast, orange zest, lychee, citrus. Good acidity. A lot going on. Not seemlessly integrated, but intriguing nonetheless.

Delicious stuff and an absolute steal at $22. 98% roussanne and 2% sauvignon blanc.
