This last bottle, a magnum, showed similarly to the previous bottles: Lush nose with fruity, camphory, tart aromas. Big levels of dark fruit that keeps on giving. It is about the last period for drinking this while it is at the top of its game -- my sense is that it might not last a lot longer.

Great lush nose with fruity, camphory, tart aromas. Big levels of dark fruit, leather. I think it finally has reached its limit, so I'll be taking the last bottle sometime in the next few months.

Great lush nose with fruity, camphory, tart aromas. Big levels of dark fruit, chocolate, leather. Beginning, middle and end of the moderately long taste line is flawless. Definitely needs to be decanted and aired for a while before seriously drinking it (probably an hour or even 2). I think this magnum may still have been too young. A 750ml bottle a year ago was more developed and luscious. This seemed tighter and less giving. So, I'll let my other magnums sit for a good long while.

Clos Saron and Renaissance with Gideon Bienstock (Trestle on Tenth): More tannic and austere, similar in its stony flavor to the standard '99 but redder in its fruit complexion. It's still a wine to hold in the cellar.
