Simple, light bodied, pleasurable enough drink. My first monsatrell, but I could swear it tasted a lot like gamay with bubble gum, cherry and strawberry flavors.

($10) Medium ruby in the glass with a slight haze. Shows Pinon on the nose - maybe hints at wax and eucalyptus. Pleasant sweetness, medium-bodied. A quaffer.

($11) I was expecting more than I got from this wine. Waxy red fruits on the nose. Interestng initial acid mouthfeel on the tongue gives the impression of freshness and effervescene. Sweet raspberries. A bit Beaujolais-like.

Fans of intoxicating strawberries and cream will absolutely fall in love with this $8 wine. From the aroma to the full mouth fill, it’s just loaded up with jammy red fruit, but don’t expect much in the way of complexity. This is just simple and delicious.

($15) Clear garnet colored in the glass. Pears and stone fruit, balsa wood, white chalk soil, cherry nose. Touch of floral. Medium-full in body with ripe cherry strawberry fruit. Decent finish with some elevated acid in the finish. Not sure why this is supposed to be so great. Seems a bit Grenache-like at times, but I've also tasted Mourvedres like this - the Jade Mountain 1997 comes to mind.
