Had to try it again. Wow! This wine just gets better every time I have it. Had with spicy ribs and it held up great with them. I think WS said to drink until 2006, but its still going and does not seem to let up at all. Love this wine and for $5 I paid its the best wine for the price I have ever had.

Just had a bottle of this and it still wow's me for the price. Sweet plum and berry flavors on the palate with a nice little spicy finish. If fact I think this wines gets better and better. Glad I have a few more left.

Interesting, the nose on this bottle had less chocolate and more of a nutty, meaty thing going on. Is this a good or bad sign? Still simple and light and while not bad not very interesting either. Too sweet for cooking and too much alcohol for the hummingbird feeder - I guess I'll drink my remaining bottles.

Nice, with spice and some fruit on the nose. Plum and not a lot else on the palate followed by more fruit and some chocolate on the finish. This has been a great house wine. Maybe this was an off bottle but I think the end may be in sight.

Decanted 1 hr. Flavors of deep blackberry with a streak of blueberry and red fruit along with ample mocha. Soft and well rounded body with an edge of spice framing a straightforward, simple and well made wine. Has a good start and mid-palate with a reasonable finish. This has picked up some depth and a little more mocha over the past year.

This, for whatever reason, was a subpar bottle. Not tainted or anything, just not as good as the others I've had. Finish was ok, not much on the nose..some berries. It was balanced and smooth getting better as the dinner progressed.

Had with burgers, smoked gouda cheese. Went well (of course). Also had with 6yr aged cheddar prior. First time didn't have effect of nasonex. relatively long finish.

[unpaired] plum, licorice, berries, and spice with minimal tannins. Very enthusiast with first taste but less so as I moved through the bottle; partially b/c a bitter aftertaste increased with each sip. Nevertheless Nice for the price.

This is better than most $6 wines, in that it is drinkable, if a bit simplistic. Violet in color. A soft texture and light body match with flavors/aromas of licorice, plum and chocolate. Short but agreeable finish. 50+10+7+6+6 = 79.

Would agree with other posts: excellent value, fruit-forward, plummy style - Just a little spice. A tad reticent on the nose, but a longer finish than $7 would suggest. Buy it by the case.

This is a decent value for the $7.50 price tag. Sweet plum and berry flavors on the palate with a nice little spicy finish. I served it on the cool side and it was a decent match to grilled chicken and creamy goat cheese and roasted poblano rice. I wouldn't trample my neighbors to get to it, but based on the small tariff it's a wiiner.

Some bricking. Nice leather, cigar box, then blackberry acid on the finish with a hint of sour. surprisingly nice.

Very nice - spice and red fruit on the nose with more red fruit and chocolate on the palate. Not a big wine but there's alot here for the price.
