Robe rouge brique, assez sombre, pas totalement opaque.

Deep dark ruby. Funky for the first 30 minutes then mellows. Now its all new world zingy in the nose. Full rustic body with furious yet smooth tannins. Furry. Spicy, with chili laced cherries. This is so much more a product of the hot '03 vintage than Pommard, but it is quite tasty and for all its power it has a nice balance. No rush whatsoever to drink.

Really good value again from Potel (when Nicolas himself was still involved). A lively, robust but not rustic Pommard, with gamey notes creeping in on top of dark fruit and a mineral edge. Good intensity for a village wine.

Robe rouge brique plutôt foncée. Nez de raisin sec et lard fumé. Bouche soyeuse, longue, avec une pointe de tannicité en fin de bouche, légèrement épicée.

Licorice, mineral, floral notes with a hint of the black fruits on the nose. On the palate, black cherry, black currant, and licorice, a nice full body with firm tannins to round it out. Finish includes more of the black fruit and licorice including fig and a hint of dates. On the second day the mineral was gone from the nose and palate, making this a delightful full-bodied wine.

Impressive juice! Right after opening the nose gave a little funky barnyard smell that almost immediately blew off. Still has firm tannins and the acid gave it a clean feeling in the mouth. The fruit was still fresh and it had a nice secondary floral component. I got some cut tobacco that I didn't expect. I'm bullish on this wine 92-94 points and for a sub $30 Burgundy a real steal.

Light and transparent with medium legs. Aroma: Cherry, currant, forest floor, earth Taste: Red fruit, cherry, currant, nice balance and acidity Structure: Full tannins on the front palate. More than I expected from a burgundy. Finish: Silky medium finish. Another nice burgundy. Good price.

Lots of velvety tannin, very dark, somewhat subdued nose and a slightly astringent finish.
