Nice color, fading at the edge. On the nose, there is ample red fruit, underbrush, integrated oak, flowers, and a hint of minerals. This is medium bodied on the palate, with good concentration and very good finesse. The finish shows spice, absorbed tannins, and a slight mineral element. Good length. Mature, but this will drink well for a while.

14.2% alcohol. Just pretty all around. Red cherry color. Fragrant nose of red cherry and jammy black cherry, with a nice earth and spice streak. In the mouth, velvety but racy, with a really refreshing sensibility. Tasty sour cherry fruit, laced with spice and earth. Bright acidity. Solid finish. Just drinking perfectly. A-

Time pays off for this raspberry creamsicle of a wine. Balance, exceedingly long dark, but bright finish. I hope I have more hidden (as this one was) in the cellar.

14.2% alcohol. Seemingly riper and more voluptuous than the Gary Farrell, even more up-front, if that's possible. Soaring nose of black cherry and blackberry fruit, backed up by copious spice notes. This is a definitely a capricious Rochioli nose. Quite bold in the mouth, asserting its cherry and blackberry fruit without apologies -- and none are needed. A strong spice component is backed by strong acidity, while the finish is gentle and smooth. A-

Light purple with a little garnet in the glass. Nose of prune, strawberry, dust, and pepper. Balanced on the palate, black cherry, tart wild blueberry, lots of black pepper. Some nice rustic tannins, ten-second finish. Very good American pinot with old world accents.

Enjoyable bottle, but somewhat different than how it tasted at the wnery, which was more consistent with trucrime's observations. Think it would benefit from significant decanting.

Nose of new cedar and vanilla bean. The palate is all spicy tea and green peppercorn with a lingering faded violet perfume. Very elegant and unusual. I'd pair with with a Chinese white fish steamed over tea or smoked.

This is a nice wine and at a nice price, but a bit disjointed and could use a couple years to integrate.

At a tasting at Rochioli. Very brief notes: fruit and finish that seemed out of balance.

Last bottle must have been a bit off, because this was spot on. Delicate fruit, yet Rochioli/old world edge. Really enjoyed with a pork tenderloin.
