Boasts earthy mature cherry aromas accented with mushroom and dried herbs. Medium weight fruit is still fresh and super complex and nuanced. Bright, pristine balance that frames the layered, tertiary flavors.

2013 Post IPNC Tasting of 2004 OR Pinot (Matello Winery): A bit of off aromas on the nose that I should have picked out as Cameron immediately, but didn't. Bright red cherry palette, with relatively thin mouthfeel. A nice wine to get us going.

Post IPNC blind 2004 Oregon Pinot Noir tasting (Matello): Smells really good, cherries, old, burnt campfire wood, light herbal and cola notes. Really aromatic. Nice feel in the mouth, medium-weight, relaxed structure. Sweet cherry fruit initially with some older, dried notes in the finish, almost like figs. Not a long finish, but not short either. Overall a really nice wine.

After popping and pouring last night, we managed to exercise uncharacteristic restraint and saved a couple of glasses for tonight. Almost a different wine this evening. The sulphurous funk from yesterday is gone, replaced with a perfumed dark fruit nose. Similarly, last night this wine was all about sour cherries and earth - that's mostly gone now, morphed into a more elegant and harmonious palate that still maintains a hint of wild berry rowdiness. Fine tannins accompany a pleasingly long finish. Drink now.

Nice ripe sweet cherry and strawberry aromas. Palate is wrapped with long rich deep red fruits, and a kiss of oak. Textbook "Dundee Hills" flavors. This will improve over the next 5 years.
