This has filled out somewhat since the last few bottles I had about five months ago. Expressive nose of asian pear, quince, a faint floral note, and a very light honey element. On the palate, gorgeous texture - soft but not blowsy. Layers of pear and faintly tripical elements, along with a touch of honey. Delicious. This is a very well-made white Chateauneuf, IMO. Tonight I thought it paired perfectly with crispy skin striped bass, white asparagus steamed and then braised in olive oil, and sauce gribiche (Alice Waters' recipe from The Chez Panisse Menu Cookbook).

Drunk with dinner after visiting the domaine earlier in the day (see previous TN). Clean, fresh, with nice structure. Minerals, lemon. Lightly spicy. Very nice.

Tasted at the domaine. Finished wine. Blend contains 1/3 Roussanne aged in new oak. No apparent new oak in the finished wine. Nice freshness, blanace and acidity. Good weight. Subtle yellow fruit, some minerality. Very nice.
