Started out tight on the finish but with 2 hours it was much better. Not sure if I love it but went well with Italian dinner. Next bottle decant for an hour.

Popped, decanted for mild sediment, poured and drank. Deeply purple to slightly blood colored in glass. clear and clean, and definitely showing its age already. very ripe perfumed nose of black berry fruit, flowers I can't put my finger on, and a slight eucalyptus note which is very appealing. The acidity from the sangiovese remains at a medium level, which balances the ripeness of the cabernet well, and some soft tannins are felt on the mid pallet. blackberry, under-ripe plum, tobacco/cedar flavor lasts for a well balanced finish. I agree that this may have been better in it's youth, but this is balanced, and quite enjoyable to drink-up now.

I also agree with other writers. Wine is soft and round and it does not have the lenght it used to when young. Good wine but I would prefer more tightness and structure

This was our second bottle. Decanted for 3 hours. This is drinking very well and continued to open up through out the evening. Still like this a lot but we only have one bottle left.

Decanted one hour and could have used at least one more. Deep dark red, almost purple color. Vanilla, dark berries, cherry and tobacco on the nose. Taste of dark berries, cherry and a hint of vanilla. Soft and supple finish that lasts a good while. Very soft integrated tannins. Served with some very well made veal dishes. Highly enjoyable.

Very elegant medium/light body wine. Dark ruby red. Smooth dark berries....I just didn't like the burnt earth on the edges, and especially at the end. Enjoyed with V and C at Caravaggio.

decanted 90 minutes, consumed over 2 hours. Aromatics of leather, cherry, embers and earth lead to a medium + body that never really gets out of the gate. Restrained fruits, medium acidity and a conspicuous lack of complexity (at this price point, or any other for that matter). Sure, it's smooth, to the point of being gulpable, even. I just don't see the raw materials for anything remarkable given extended cellar time. Perhaps it was bottle variation, but I'm glad I didn't drop the $50. Many other Tuscan wines at half the price delivered twice the value that night.
Wonderful Supertuscan blend. Had it with Scaloppine milanese and a tomato & basil & vinegear julienne. Very rich and dark red wine with a nose of cassis, violet and blueberry. Great palate delivering excellent on the nose with a smooth string of chocolate on top. Great round tannins. However needed extremely long decanting - 3 hours was not enough. Will improve over coming years.

Rich, dark red in the glass. Really took a couple hours to come together. Blueberry and violet on the nose. Smooth, silky palate filled with cassis, raspberry and chocolate which is complemented nicely by an herbal finish surrounded by round tannins. I cannot recommend decanting enough...this will take time to come together in the bottle.

The Other Italy (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had lots of dark fruit, herbs, tobacco, and a hint of earthiness. The palate was smooth, with sweet dark fruit, spice, and earth. The finish was good, but hot.

Dark, heavily cabernet influenced nose. Slightly sweet palate, dense and, again, very cabernet-like. Concentrated and ripe with fine tannins. Enjoyable wine, but lacks special character or anything to separate it from a large pack of similarly styled wines.

Very elegant wine that paired wonderfully with lasagna. Decanted for an hour before serving.
Very dark in the glass with reserved fruit and a wonderful bouquet

Beau vin assez élégant et boisé luxueux, mais finale assez courte. Somme toute décevant compte tenu du prix.

Venturi and decanted 30 minutes prior to drink.
Opaque deep red color, with tons of blackberries, dense cream and caramel. Big in mouth with harsh but sweet tannin. Too young but very enjoyable.
