(From old tasting notes) A very good wine with lots of fruit and spice. Fullbodied and savoury but elegant and complex as well. Almost on par to its stablemate from C9dP.

Slightly brick red the rim starting to fade. This Gigondas was made from one-third Mourvedre and two-thirds Grenache and was still kicking. The fruit was still very apparent on the nose and shared some elements of old leather, and some spice. On the palate the balance was harmonious. I tasted cigar flavors and honestly had to think if I had smoked one the day before as the wine finished. Dark fruit flavors, the tannins were totally integrated and the wine left my mouth ever so slightly dry. Drinking perfectly. If you own it, drink it.

10 Rhone Wines Tasted: Nose of sweatsox, bret and rich fruit and on the palate, slightly sweet tasting, nice, rich fruit, nose blew off as wine opened during the tasting, still was a detriment to me. My #10 of 10.

Deep color, paler toward edge. Nose has mature tones, almost resiny. Mouth still fairly fruity, puckery acid but tasty.
