Extreme nose! The moss and musty forrest notes are the first ones to hit. Then comes the ceddar, pepper and smoke. It only continues to open over the course of 5 hours.
The palate - WOW! This is some wine. Beautiful, stunning, goosebumps!
I need another bottle!
I would say drink but it could be kept in the cellar for another year or so.

Dark sweet aromas of bell pepper, earthy, and dried dark berries. Edgy rustic mouthfeel with black fruit character, sharp acids, and a drying structure. Good gamey earhiness, yet angular and a bit hard. Nice wine, but not spectacular. 92

Great Older Wines at the Place to Drink Great Older Wines (Tampa FL): Bottle stored perfectly for decades. Very good overall combination of mushroom and remaining black fruit along with spice hints on nose and palate. Good flavor, just simpler/ faded structural elements mad this some what shorter and simpler than some of the nuanced older wines in this flight.
