I agree with previous tasting note from JLPN. It was perfectly fine. Dark gold colour, no oxidation perceivable on palate. Singing with slate and lime, the sweetness barely perceptible as it was filigreed. Did it blow my mind? no Would I pay that much again? absolutely not Many producers are at least at this quality level.

I thought this would be a good palate cleaser before we started the reds. Leftover form two days ago and still singing. The color is an orange golden. Small legs for this low alcohol treat. The nose was orange marmalade, fuji apples, and petrol. A nice slate note as well. The mouthfeel was light to medium bodied and multilayered. Delicious mandarin oranges and sour apples. Like a sweet tart. Petrol again, almost a piney note too, and a level of sweetness perfectly balanced with the acid. Light on its feet. Beautiful. 93 pts.

Older Rieslings - Group #8, My #8. Deep copper pink. Unctuous tick texture. Forward aroma of botrytis sweetness and orange peel. Slightly sour thin o9range fruit. Not as sweet or as thick as I expecetdd. Hints of oxidation. 8/05

color of honey; sweet smell of botrytis; interesting blend of flavors, nutty sweet and sour; very very long aftertaste
