Club Tasting: Summer Chef Tour,Brandy Fernow (Gibby's): Certified organic, this is done in 100% stainless. Pale yellow color with notes of honeysuckle flowers and cotton, followed by soft citrus tones. Flavors of pears, apple and minerals, with a slightly tinny tone on the finish.

A pale yellow...almost clear. Lovely nose of pear, pineapple, and honeydew. Apple, pear, kiwi, and melon on the palate. Mild acidity, short finish with notes of honey. Lack of complexity means it can't quite hit the 88 mark. Four Graces is better for the dollar range.

Fairly lush nose of pineapple and lemon following through on the palette. Reminds me of Alto Adige a little bit. But falling a little short on acidity for me. I like a little bit more zing. Still a decent bottle, but there are other offerings at this price point that are more impressive, the Adelsheim Pinot Gris 2005 for example.

Purchased from restaurant wine list. On the nose, pear, apple, and some flowers. On the palate, relatively thin, with pear, apple and maybe a hint of apricot, with a relatively short finish with a bit of spice. Not very concentrated, moderate acidity. I like the Chehalem better.

Pinot Family (Farpointe Cellar): This wine was fantastic. The nose had wonderful pear and apple aromas that were paired with some spice and floral notes. The palate had the same fruit and spices as the nose, as well as some wet stone flavors. The acidity was nice and the finish long and tasty.

As always good balance between fruit (pear, apple) and acid producing a very refreshing, lovely wine. I like to drink this as an aperitif though is also great with food.

A pinot gris with trpical flavors but a rather subdued nose and medium finish and acidity. Still, very nice.

Unoffensive, though uninteresting. Typical fruit, somewhat flat. Reasonable choice for an inexpensive broad appeal party wine.
